The topic that I spread is aesthetic empathy in design.
I wrote two theses about this topic. It involves neuroesthetics, psychology, the principle of forming shapes and emotion, and the language of associations. I wanted to find why we fall in love with objects and what's behind this emotional connection. That's when I have found the correlation between aesthetics and empathy, in particular, shapes and it's formative principles in correlation to the genesis of emotions.
I have applied this study to the design field founding that we fall in love with design objects that can communicate through the language of their expressive form, directly to our bodily sensations/feelings, especially when we recognize in it, an intimate piece of us (perception of the objectified Self). Analyzing this mechanism leads us to a clearer understanding of our inner world and the associations that guide our choices. There is a special moment in psychology, a great moment of understanding that aims to integrate an unconscious element into our reality. This is what I think design can do, sometimes more powerfully than art.

According to the theory of aesthetic empathy, we love something when we see in it a piece of us. As it happens with empathy between people similarly we can empathize with an object. The shape of our body tells us who we are, in teh same way a shape that we love can tell something intimate about ourselves.
There are some principles in natural forms that can be related to feelings and moods are you able to recognize them in yourself?
