His love and passion for wooden materials comes from his childhood. Later, during his studies, he met Maris Tilibs and they both found themselves on the same "wave". That was the start of company "KD Stripes" and later here comes the new brand of design and furniture "Tilibs&Lacis". Ivars always trays to combine design and functionality, using clean, clear lines and cleanliness of shapes and forms. Ivars always takes part not only in designing of furniture, but he is very experienced to build a prototypes by his own, as well as able to show to workers at his manufacture what and how to do and can help a lot to produce a final product. Ivars is passioned about leaving his footprints in the history of Latvian and International design society.

Art is what is created in one peace. All the over is production.
