About Nuray Ganioglu : I am a designer, having studied Textile design in Turkey. I reveal a design by synthesizing my academic and cultural background. Jewelry Design has been a major focus of mine for the last six years although I have been active in a variety of art forms, including painting, photography, textiles and fiber art. Choosing a wide selection of branches of art helps me to create my designs in a broad spectrum. Different experiences help me to create my works, more fully materializing my ideas. I tend to use different shapes and figurative forms and textural additions in an unexpected way. My designs are emphasized by combining colors and manipulating shapes. I am mostly inspired by nature, which helps me to mold my works into different shapes and tints of colors. Exploring my relationship with nature provides a perspective that helps me to discover new ideas and apply them to a new form. My manner is toward my works describe my feelings by configuring a design, revealing my cultural interaction, harmonizing and stating details and tints.
STATEMENT OF ART:
Configuring first in my mind, conceiving a plan in perfect form and content, a design, created by art elements and formed by imaginative concepts, is my rule of thumb. In a way of bringing my ideas and imagination to life, design has played a major role in emphasizing my sensations, to reveal my perceptions. Manipulating forms and curves arranged in a particular way allowed me to give a shape to the materials in a different way, like folding hard metal in a fabric-like shape or using textile materials combined with metals. Having an idea to change the material from its natural form into unexpected shapes gives me a power to use its possibilities and inspires me to create new designs.

Art is a manner, an act of expressing feelings, emotions and thoughts and helps me to be creative and express of my ideas in practical use. Art gives me a value to create a design conceptually. It defines feelings, ideas and thoughts through shapes and forms, colors and textures. Using art elements are essential for creating a design. Art is a shadow of a good design and adds values to it.

For me, art is a key component of a good design and emphasized its value. Without art, a design can not be perfect or meaningful. Different experiences help me to create my works, realizing my concepts. Interested in a multitude of art forms, from visual art to applied art, I possess a conceptual perspective of how to create an idea and form it into tangible shapes with all its aspects.

A good design reveals itself and it identified with itself, to convey feelings and thoughts, to render it appealing through aesthetic and harmony, to resolve possible interferences and generate a functional formation by using art facts. I mainly prefer to use these art principles in my works and create them informed with these ideas.
