Profile: Jolanda MacDonald

About Jolanda MacDonald : Jolanda was born in Cape Town, South Africa. She is a wife, daughter, sister and friend. People, family, relationships and friendship are important to her. She has a passion for fashion and art. Since childhood she was creative, artistic and loved to learn new things. She started making her own clothes at the tender age of 13, sewing by hand. Her mother bought her first sewing machine when she was about 16 years old, and shortly after she started sewing for friends and family. As a young entrepreneur, she developed her skills in designing, garment construction, arts and crafts. Whilst working as a volunteer to promote Bible Education in remote areas with her husband, she supported herself by doing freelance work as a dressmaker, artist, and supplied boutiques with custom-made garments. At the time, she didn't feel the need to register her brand, Landi's Exclusive Garments, as she wasn't ready to commit herself to her craft fulltime. To help promote Landi's Exclusive Garments, Jolanda started advertising her garments and services at the online market, Hello Pretty, Facebook and Pinterest. She makes and sells one-of-a-kind, custom-made garments with the the greatest love and care. Jolanda loves to enrich others by sharing her experience and skills by teaching private sewing lessons on a part-time basis. As a start-up business, her goal is to have her brand registerd and expand internationally.
