Profile: Rosie Li

About Rosie Li : Rosie Li was born in China and emigrated to the United States at age three. Her childhood interests in drawing, painting and sculpting eventually led her to attend Rhode Island School of Design, graduating in 2011 with a BFA in Furniture Design. She debuted her first lighting design, Stella Triangle, through lighting manufacturer Roll & Hill at Milan Design Week 2013. She continues to design, work, and live in Brooklyn, NY. Blending graphic elements and geometry, Rosie develops lighting and objects that challenge visual capabilities and the limits of perception. She is fascinated by the relationship between edges, surfaces, and the volumes contained within. Clean lines, pure form and rational design inform her aesthetic.
