Interview with Yi-Sin Huang at Sunday 18th of March 2018 FS: Could you please tell us about your experience as a designer, artist, architect or creator? YSH: Almost 10 years experienced working as a designer. Previous experiences were related in machinery and product development. Finally, I built up my own company , STARTS JUMP CO., LTD. to fulfill my dream work. FS: How did you become a designer? YSH: I like to build up things by my own hand. FS: What are your priorities, technique and style when designing? YSH: Capable of mechanical structure design and metal processing process. FS: Which emotions do you feel when designing? YSH: Peaceful FS: What particular aspects of your background shaped you as a designer? YSH: Mechanical design engineering background FS: What is your growth path? What are your future plans? What is your dream design project? YSH: Experiences were related in machinery and product development. Creating a product to the users them to directly operate and feel it has always been my dream and original goal. FS: What are your advices to designers who are at the beginning of their career? YSH: Do it by hand before making a drawing FS: You are truly successful as a designer, what do you suggest to fellow designers, artists and architects? YSH: Think wide but keep simple on the product FS: What is your day to day look like? YSH: Experience the different things from the different field FS: How do you keep up with latest design trends? To what extent do design trends matter? YSH: To look at the point on what really matters FS: How do you know if a product or project is well designed? How do you define good design? YSH: Things to make our life better then it is good design FS: How do you decide if your design is ready? YSH: When I think it is time to hear people's response FS: What is your biggest design work? YSH: bicycle FS: Who is your favourite designer? YSH: Dieter Rams FS: Would you tell us a bit about your lifestyle and culture? YSH: Not to judge and do not picky.
