FS: Can you tell us more about your company / design studio?
P: Popticals is a leading eyewear company specializing in innovative, portable, and high-performance sunglasses for outdoor enthusiasts. Our mission is to offer top-notch optical clarity and convenience for active individuals needing reliable eye protection on the go. Founded with a passion for outdoor adventure and cutting-edge technology, Popticals has transformed the concept of portable eyewear. Our patented design allows the sunglasses to collapse into a compact size, fitting into a portable case that is easy to carry and protects the lenses when not in use. This unique feature sets us apart in the market, providing a practical solution for adventurers who demand high-quality and highly portable gear

FS: What is "design" for you?
P: Design involves creating meaningful and impactful solutions that enhance people’s lives. It’s a dynamic and evolving field that requires a combination of creativity, empathy, technical skills, and strategic thinking.

FS: What is your "golden rule" in design?
P: At Popticals, our “golden rule” in design is to always prioritize the user experience. This principle is at the core of everything we do, from the initial idea to the final product. Here's a peek into our design approach: 1.Putting Users First: We start by deeply understanding our users' needs, preferences, and pain points. We conduct extensive research, gather feedback, and observe how our products are used in real-life situations. By making the user the focal point of our design process, we make sure that every decision we make enhances their experience. 2.Functional Designs: Our products have to perform exceptionally well in all conditions. For Popticals, this means creating sunglasses that offer superior optical clarity, durability, and convenience. 3.Simple and Intuitive: We believe that great design should simplify and improve the user's life. Our products are designed to be intuitive and easy to use. Our patented collapsible design, for example, allows users to quickly and easily fold and store their sunglasses without any hassle. 4.Quality and Toughness: Our dedication to quality means we use top-notch materials and manufacturing processes. This ensures that our products are not only high-performing but also tough enough to endure the demands of outdoor activities. We want our sunglasses to be a long-term companion for our users. 5.Aesthetically Pleasing: While functionality is our priority, we also strive to create products that are stylish and visually appealing. We want our users to feel confident and proud to wear Popticals, whether they're on a mountain trail or in a city park or on the golf course. 6.Sustainability Matters: We are committed to minimizing our environmental impact.
