FS: Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer?
HC: Design can enrich people's life experience through their own creativity.

FS: Can you tell us more about your company / design studio?
HC: Independent designer, happy to design.

FS: What is "design" for you?
HC: Design can solve the pain points in life and provide people with a better quality of life; design is the process of pursuing beauty.

FS: What kinds of works do you like designing most?
HC: Electronic product category

FS: What was the first thing you designed for a company?
HC: underwater thruster

FS: What is your favorite material / platform / technology?
HC: ABS,plating

FS: When do you feel the most creative?
HC: 10 am, 3 pm and evening.

FS: Which aspects of a design do you focus more during designing?
HC: Design is fun and resonates with consumers.

FS: What kind of emotions do you feel when you design?
HC: The emotion of constant exploration.

FS: What kind of emotions do you feel when your designs are realized?
HC: Enjoy the design process.

FS: What makes a design successful?
HC: Innovation makes the design successful, and the function and appearance design of the product are created on the basis of the existing market.

FS: When judging a design as good or bad, which aspects do you consider first?
HC: The first is to conform to the human experience.

FS: From your point of view, what are the responsibilities of a designer for society and environment?
HC: The emergence of designers should pursue the harmonious coexistence of man and nature.

FS: How do you think the "design field" is evolving? What is the future of design?
HC: The future of design is a high degree of integration of human beings, nature and technology.

FS: Where does the design inspiration for your works come from? How do you feed your creativity? What are your sources of inspirations?
HC: Design inspiration comes from life experience and nature.

FS: How would you describe your design style? What made you explore more this style and what are the main characteristics of your style? What's your approach to design?
HC: Natural companion.I love nature, and I think that the designed products are made of life, and the life of the product is enriched by grafting nature.

FS: Where do you live? Do you feel the cultural heritage of your country affects your designs? What are the pros and cons during designing as a result of living in your country?
HC: I live in China, Ningbo. China's historical culture and spiritual culture have brought continuous inspiration to my design, and the mysterious oriental culture can be reproduced through modern design.

FS: How do you work with companies?
HC: Seek partnerships, mutual cooperation can produce better designs.

FS: What are your suggestions to companies for working with a designer? How can companies select a good designer?
HC: Design is the value pursuit of both parties. Party A should have a design and positioning for the product, and the creativity of the designer can make the design a higher level, and it should not be a unilateral output.Enterprises should establish positive values, and cannot constantly squeeze the personal time of designers, and care about the work emotions of designers. Only with high work emotions can they maximize the value in the shortest time.

FS: Could you please share some pearls of wisdom for young designers? What are your suggestions to young, up and coming designers?
HC: Learn to self-regulate emotions. When the mood is calm or the design mood is high, you should be creative within the maximum time. When the design mood is low, you should empty yourself or adjust yourself through interest.

FS: What is your "golden rule" in design?
HC: Design is fun.

FS: What skills are most important for a designer?
HC: Learn to think, design should be a process of creation rather than a porter of design.

FS: Which tools do you use during design? What is inside your toolbox? Such as software, application, hardware, books, sources of inspiration etc.?
HC: Pinterest、Behance、Puxiang、Ai、rhino、keyshot

FS: How long does it take to design an object from beginning to end?
HC: two weeks

FS: What is the most frequently asked question to you, as a designer?
HC: How to make an eye-catching design?

FS: Who are some of your clients?
HC: Has served Haier, Youku, ASD, Unities, Nanjiren, Fuguang and other customers.

FS: What type of design work do you enjoy the most and why?
HC: Items that can unleash the creativity of designers.Because the experience of this design will be stronger, and the result will be more sweet.

FS: Do you work as a team, or do you develop your designs yourself?
HC: Independent design and team design exist at the same time.
