FS: Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer?
HCAHC: We are studying for a Ph.D. in Architecture at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology. We have nearly ten years of experience in the architectural and interior design industry. Yes, for the profession of designers, it is our mission to bring people happiness and emotion.
FS: Can you tell us more about your company / design studio?
HCAHC: Our team is located in Taipei, Taiwan, and is constantly working to create the perfect value and feeling for all kinds of spaces.
FS: What is "design" for you?
HCAHC: Our design introduces unique natural resources and rich local culture and uses natural elements as the main elements of the space. Make the design has individual soul.
FS: What kinds of works do you like designing most?
HCAHC: A soulful design that brings happiness to people.
FS: What is your most favorite design, could you please tell more about it?
HCAHC: Can make the user feel happiness, love, shake the heart, and bring us a sense of achievement.
FS: What was the first thing you designed for a company?
HCAHC: I remember the interior design of a small house full of curved shapes.
FS: What is your favorite material / platform / technology?
HCAHC: The platform is how to make the unique natural resources set off the indoor space soul.
FS: When do you feel the most creative?
HCAHC: Creativity and inspiration are a deep commitment to life. Creativity does not appear at a specific time, but cannot be stopped when it comes.
FS: Which aspects of a design do you focus more during designing?
HCAHC: Space atmosphere and practicality
FS: What kind of emotions do you feel when you design?
HCAHC: Enthusiastic and active
FS: What kind of emotions do you feel when your designs are realized?
HCAHC: Feeling relieved and about to bring happiness to people
FS: What makes a design successful?
HCAHC: In addition to their own design tastes, there is also the overall team's ability to work and cooperation tacit understanding
FS: When judging a design as good or bad, which aspects do you consider first?
HCAHC: The first point is aesthetics, followed by practicality, ease of use, and what kind of feeling it will bring to the user.
FS: From your point of view, what are the responsibilities of a designer for society and environment?
HCAHC: Design is no longer just a value on the books, but a responsibility to society is how to use design aesthetics and knowledge to change the world.
FS: How do you think the "design field" is evolving? What is the future of design?
HCAHC: The pursuit of design embodies the progress of living quality. Furthermore, innovative design ideas aim to give spaces better functions, and even improve and optimize the space
FS: When was your last exhibition and where was it? And when do you want to hold your next exhibition?

FS: Where does the design inspiration for your works come from? How do you feed your creativity? What are your sources of inspirations?
HCAHC: Inspired by my life experience and professional knowledge
FS: How would you describe your design style? What made you explore more this style and what are the main characteristics of your style? What's your approach to design?
HCAHC: My design style is mainly based on local history, natural environment, and dialogue with nature and humanity.
FS: Where do you live? Do you feel the cultural heritage of your country affects your designs? What are the pros and cons during designing as a result of living in your country?
HCAHC: Taiwan. Sure. To have such rich resources and a rich history in a small land is the basis for my creativity.
FS: How do you work with companies?
HCAHC: The company gives me a lot of freedom to design so that my work can have a good play.
FS: What are your suggestions to companies for working with a designer? How can companies select a good designer?
HCAHC: Need to give designers the freedom to work, if too restrictive will limit the development of the work
FS: Can you talk a little about your design process?
HCAHC: First, analyze the regional history and culture, and establish a series of spatial vocabulary and elements. Gradually systematically organize the environment and architectural appearance elements and interactively find a series of proper design contexts under the established conditions.
FS: What are 5 of your favorite design items at home?
HCAHC: Sofa, island kitchen, decor
FS: Can you describe a day in your life?
HCAHC: Work hard, play hard
FS: Could you please share some pearls of wisdom for young designers? What are your suggestions to young, up and coming designers?
HCAHC: Keep the passion alive
FS: From your perspective, what would you say are some positives and negatives of being a designer?
HCAHC: It is difficult to maintain enthusiasm after working for a long time
FS: What is your "golden rule" in design?
HCAHC: Exquisite and flawless, creating the perfect value of life
FS: What skills are most important for a designer?
HCAHC: Besides basic job skills, the most important thing should be communication
FS: Which tools do you use during design? What is inside your toolbox? Such as software, application, hardware, books, sources of inspiration etc.?
HCAHC: Alienware NB, iPad Laser scanner, Sketchup 3dsmax revit autocad Lumion Twinmotion Enscape AdobeCC etc.
FS: Designing can sometimes be a really time consuming task, how do you manage your time?
HCAHC: Conduct progress briefings at least once a week
FS: How long does it take to design an object from beginning to end?
HCAHC: 3 months to 15 months
FS: What is the most frequently asked question to you, as a designer?
HCAHC: What is your favorite style?
FS: What was your most important job experience?
HCAHC: The feeling of accomplishment that comes from winning international awards for my work keeps my passion alive
