FS: What is "design" for you?
PC: An opportunity to change your surroundings to better place.

FS: What is your most favorite design, could you please tell more about it?
PC: One of my proudest designs is the award-winning apartment featured in A'Design 2023. Despite its modest size, every aspect was crafted according to our vision from start to finish. The client bestowed us with complete trust, making the project particularly gratifying.

FS: What was the first thing you designed for a company?
PC: The first project I designed for a company was the renovation of a single-family house, involving basement expansion to seamlessly integrate with the home's surroundings.

FS: What is your favorite material / platform / technology?
PC: In each field in which I design I love to use natural materials, such as Stone, wood, glass, as long as it is natural.

PC: Crafting a successful design is an artistry that thrives on collaboration with an exceptional client. The alchemy begins with seamless chemistry, shared vision, and a client endowed with perceptive insight, dreams, and passion.

FS: When judging a design as good or bad, which aspects do you consider first?
PC: When evaluating a design as good or bad, several key aspects come into consideration, and the importance of each may vary based on the specific context. Like Functionality, Aesthetics, Context, Innovation, Simplicity, Execution ability,

FS: From your point of view, what are the responsibilities of a designer for society and environment?
PC: Designers bear important responsibilities toward society and the environment, as their work has a profound impact on the world. In every design we consider: Sustainability, Accessibility, Problem Solving, Ergonomic.

FS: How do you think the "design field" is evolving? What is the future of design?
PC: The design field is undergoing a transformative journey in the era of computers and AI. While there are concerns about potential challenges to creativity, I am optimistic about the future. Rather than perceiving technology as a threat, I envision it as an enabler. As we progress, I hope for the development of more accessible tools that not only safeguard but also amplify creativity. By embracing user-friendly interfaces, intuitive platforms, and collaborative technologies, we can unlock new dimensions of creative expression and ensure that the future of design is shaped by a harmonious synergy between human ingenuity and technological innovation.

FS: When was your last exhibition and where was it? And when do you want to hold your next exhibition?
PC: In my field we do not organise exhibitions.

FS: Where does the design inspiration for your works come from? How do you feed your creativity? What are your sources of inspirations?
PC: In my work, I draw inspiration from various fields, believing that creativity is a personal and dynamic process. I maintain a diverse set of interests and stay open to influences from different sources to keep my design thinking fresh and innovative. Antique golden proportions, the study of old cultures, and exploration of art and culture expand my perspective. During travels, I actively observe and study others' work, ensuring that I remain original and authentic without copying solutions.

FS: How would you describe your design style? What made you explore more this style and what are the main characteristics of your style? What's your approach to design?
PC: My design style is versatile, and I find comfort in adapting to various styles. However, my preference lies in the modern classic style, and I particularly enjoy blending different styles. This inclination led to the establishment of my company, EKlekt Atelier, deriving its name from eclecticism. I believe in harmoniously merging elements from diverse styles to create unique and personalized designs that reflect the client's vision while adding a touch of innovation.

FS: Where do you live? Do you feel the cultural heritage of your country affects your designs? What are the pros and cons during designing as a result of living in your country?
PC: My journey started in Poland, but life led me to Greece for 16 transformative years. There, I delved into ancient Greek culture, embraced neoclassicism, and refined my skills in crafting spaces thoughtfully. During this period, I developed a design approach that seamlessly blends bold innovation with a profound respect for culture, environment, and structural intricacies, navigating challenges like recurrent seismic activity. My artistic pursuits included mastering mosaic and stained glass art. Upon returning to Poland, I committed to formal education in architecture and urban design. Since then, I've founded my architectural firm, seamlessly operating in both Poland and Greece. This global presence embodies a fusion of diverse cultural influences and innovative design philosophies that shape my professional journey.

FS: How do you work with companies?
PC: As an architect with a passion for artistry, my work with companies is like crafting a beautiful symphony of form and function. Each project is a canvas where I blend the practical needs of the company with its unique aesthetic identity. I dive deep into the company's culture, values, and vision to infuse artistic elements that resonate with its spirit. Whether it's an office, retail space, or industrial facility, my goal is to create environments that inspire and enhance daily experiences. Collaboration is key. I engage in a creative dialogue with company stakeholders, ensuring the final design not only meets functional needs but also tells the story of the company. By bringing my artistic soul into the process, I aim to turn corporate spaces into living works of art — spaces that breathe life into the company's mission and leave a lasting impression on everyone who encounters them.

FS: What are your suggestions to companies for working with a designer? How can companies select a good designer?
PC: Companies should allow designers in their design department to be something opposite to what they represent themselves, granting freedom for creativity and bold approaches.

FS: Can you talk a little about your design process?
PC: In my design process, I focus on understanding the client by delving into their perceptions, identifying constraints—specifically those tied to their perspectives—and exploring their dreams. Subsequently, I strive to find harmony among functionality, ergonomics, economic considerations, and the client's perception.

FS: What are 5 of your favorite design items at home?
PC: My favorite design items at my home: Kitchen Worktop - Brazilian Granite "Avocatus": A touch of elegance in my kitchen, the Brazilian granite "Avocatus" worktop brings a natural and sophisticated charm, making it a favorite gathering spot. Handmade Dining Table from Oak: Crafted with care, my oak dining table boasts a natural shape that adds warmth to mealtime gatherings. Its handmade touch gives it a unique and personal feel. Glamora Wallpaper: The Glamora wallpaper, chosen to complement the green stone in the kitchen, not only adds a stylish touch but also weaves a visual thread that ties different spaces together seamlessly. Porcelanosa Wall Tiles with Natural Textile Surface: The Porcelanosa wall tiles with a natural textile surface bring a tactile dimension to my walls. It's not just about appearance; it's about creating a sensory experience in my living space. Designed by Me Lighting: Lighting designed by me completes the ambiance. These fixtures, crafted with a personal touch, not only illuminate but also contribute to the unique atmosphere, making each room special. These items aren't just pieces of design; they're a reflection of my style, comfort, and the essence of what makes my home uniquely mine.

FS: Can you describe a day in your life?
PC: Description of my day: I don't wake up too early due to often working late nights, dedicating a lot of time to creating in silence. I always have breakfast and head to my studio. At the studio, I need to allocate time to my colleagues, employees, and contractors. Subsequently, I have to reconcile various aspects of running a business, which functions like any other company but involves the creative aspects that require focus, silence, inspiration, flair, and Muse :)
