FS: Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer?
J: I studied interior and architecture design in Nottingham Trent University. After graduate, I worked in IMAGINATION group retail department as an interior designer for 2 year. After 5 years interior work experience in China, I decided to open my own business and established JY design practice.
FS: Can you tell us more about your company / design studio?
J: JY design practice is a professional interior and architectural design consulting company. The company was founded by Michelle Sun. While injecting international and diversified creativity. Adhering to the concept of respecting the domestic culture, JYDP mainly engage in various projects such as medical care, lifestyle, catering, business, office and hotel. JYDP focuses on the changing zeitgeist and way of life, creating more value for projects and brands through the creativity of constant development. On the basis of respecting customers' ideas, integrate unique creativity. The pursuit of excellence at the same time, and strive to make every project into a boutique JYDP pays attention to the international concept, and infuses has the innovation and the forward-looking design thinking, has won the international famous design award many times. In today's competitive business trends, JYDP from space to consider not only, more with the brand and the competitiveness of the project as a starting point, through the project background, business model, competitive and commercial value, such as understanding and analysis, so as to achieve accurate space design, to provide overall solution of the space, pay attention to the project from the integrity of the concept design and the ground.
FS: What is "design" for you?
J: “Design” is my work and life.
FS: What kinds of works do you like designing most?
J: Interior and space
FS: What is your most favorite design, could you please tell more about it?
J: Every project I worked with are my favorite.
FS: What was the first thing you designed for a company?
J: A Hotel interior space
FS: What is your favorite material / platform / technology?
J: Natural material

J: When I am travelling

J: Creative mind and curiosity
