Interview with Shan Ni at Wednesday 29th of April 2020 FS: Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer? SN: I am currently a graduate student in industrial design major, since the childhood, I've always wanted to be a designer, think this is a cool job, this career can affect many people's life. FS: Can you tell us more about your company / design studio? SN: My reading lu xun academy of fine arts in China,Lu xun academy of fine arts, one of the arts universities in liaoning province in China. Is one of the eight academy in China. Lu xun art college built Yu Yanan. In 2010, the institute by the Ministry of Education as the red classic art education demonstration base. In 2013, was approved as "China's top universities". FS: What is "design" for you? SN: Design is simple to find and solve problems, I think needs to guide design is really useful. Design of the products is not because the person is additional burden. FS: What kinds of works do you like designing most? SN: I prefer to design some of the emotional design, hoping to increase the fun in life through the design, also like improved traditional items, novelty FS: Which aspects of a design do you focus more during designing? SN: In the design process, often repeatedly thinking about the feasibility of the design itself, as well as the product is really useful, whether the function of the product itself exists such problems as what are the disadvantages FS: What kind of emotions do you feel when you design? SN: Were excited when they design, in the face of work pressure, sometimes very nervous, but at the same time enjoy the process of design, the overall feeling is very contradictory, right FS: From your point of view, what are the responsibilities of a designer for society and environment? SN: Designers to the social and environmental responsibility is how to guide more people to responsible to the society and the environment. Designers will create product value along with the market circulation of multiple amplification, influence people's life and behavior. So the designer should design in the initial stage, the social and environmental impact into the design account. FS: What type of design work do you enjoy the most and why? SN: I like some of the details of life enhanced processing design works, or from a different perspective of life to create design works. Because it can make people from design works to feel the life of the good
