FS: Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer?
SC: I am a landscape architect, located in Samutprakan province of the Kingdom of Thailand. I have Bachelor and Master degree in Landscape Architecture. Being the landscape architect will allow to enjoy enlarge space design.

FS: Can you tell us more about your company / design studio?
SC: Jaracadas, located in Samputprakan provice closed by Bangkok, is my design firm. It has been running for more than 10 years now. Most of landscape projects have been done based on design I would like to do or present.

FS: What is "design" for you?
SC: Design is undefinable subject. It based on individual ideas, skills and believes.

FS: What kinds of works do you like designing most?
SC: Any landscape design projects are challenging.

FS: What is your most favorite design, could you please tell more about it?
SC: Public space design. Because it is involved with a lot different peoples needs.

FS: What was the first thing you designed for a company?
SC: Brought in a tiny tree

FS: What is your favorite material / platform / technology?
SC: Pencil and rubber

FS: When do you feel the most creative?
SC: During vacation or feel happiness

FS: Which aspects of a design do you focus more during designing?
SC: Simple and Shady

FS: What kind of emotions do you feel when you design?
SC: Enjoyable...happy

FS: What kind of emotions do you feel when your designs are realized?
SC: Relief and happy

FS: What makes a design successful?
SC: Believes in myself

FS: When judging a design as good or bad, which aspects do you consider first?
SC: Bad...because I can feel myself need to be updated and improved for the next project.

FS: From your point of view, what are the responsibilities of a designer for society and environment?
SC: Good...Because we can learn and share knowledge of each other.

FS: How do you think the "design field" is evolving? What is the future of design?
SC: It will be more simple and easy to do and implementation.

FS: When was your last exhibition and where was it? And when do you want to hold your next exhibition?
SC: New York, USA maybe I don't know, maybe in 2020

FS: Where does the design inspiration for your works come from? How do you feed your creativity? What are your sources of inspirations?
SC: Students .... being a guest lecturer and studio teacher is good to listen to and learn from young students too.

FS: How would you describe your design style? What made you explore more this style and what are the main characteristics of your style? What's your approach to design?
SC: Simple curvy. Simple and functional landscape design are a part of Thailand's cultural design. And smooth&curvy lines are traditional styles of art and drawing in Thailand

FS: Where do you live? Do you feel the cultural heritage of your country affects your designs? What are the pros and cons during designing as a result of living in your country?
SC: Definitely, Thai's culture has been a part of my design. I think it is "pros." to live and learn from Thai's culture in terms of developing landscape design.

FS: How do you work with companies?
SC: Collaborating work online, meeting sometimes

FS: What are your suggestions to companies for working with a designer? How can companies select a good designer?
SC: Understanding and respect of each designer.

FS: Can you talk a little about your design process?
SC: Freehand is the initial design and thought, first.

FS: What are 5 of your favorite design items at home?
SC: Table, Chair, Cabinet. Shoes box and lamp

FS: Can you describe a day in your life?
SC: Be simple...and keep learning

FS: From your perspective, what would you say are some positives and negatives of being a designer?
SC: Be simple...keep learning...and don't give up

FS: What is your "golden rule" in design?
SC: Be creative

FS: What skills are most important for a designer?
SC: Be creative

FS: Which tools do you use during design? What is inside your toolbox? Such as software, application, hardware, books, sources of inspiration etc.?
SC: As a old school designer, I always think and design with hand drawings, first.

FS: Designing can sometimes be a really time consuming task, how do you manage your time?
SC: Planning to start design early and set up timeline of working; then following it.

FS: How long does it take to design an object from beginning to end?
SC: One month (for a small object)

FS: What is the most frequently asked question to you, as a designer?
SC: What do you think of "landscape"?

FS: What was your most important job experience?
SC: Traveling to other countries

FS: Who are some of your clients?
SC: Parents

FS: What type of design work do you enjoy the most and why?
SC: Conceptual design because I could express my creative fully.

FS: What are your future plans? What is next for you?
SC: Present myself and firm to international level; as well as, doing more international projects.

FS: Do you work as a team, or do you develop your designs yourself?
SC: Yes, I do. I have tried to select projects which benefit the firm in terms of finance and developing team skilled design.

FS: Do you have any works-in-progress being designed that you would like to talk about?
SC: A small individual Japanese Garden is my current project. It is not big and gets a lot of benefit. But I can learn a lot of Japanese mindset of garden.
