Interview with Hsien Wen Liu at Monday 4th of May 2020 FS: Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer? HWL: Master of Architecture, Taiwan Architect, Tsinghua University, Beijing At school, on a chance to meet Le Corbusier.an architectural exhibition Start a new definition of space into design FS: Can you tell us more about your company / design studio? HWL: Established in 2013 in Taipei, Taiwan, the area of design is specialized in urban design, architecture, indoor, electrical and mechanical services. Currently, the areas serving include Taiwan, China, St. Christopher and the Nevis Federation. FS: What is "design" for you? HWL: Design is an illusion of life blending into the future. It's when it starts to change that makes everything better in the future. And the creation of design is the beginning of change. FS: What kinds of works do you like designing most? HWL: It's capable of making people and space. FS: What is your most favorite design, could you please tell more about it? HWL: Likes to combine nature into space and to throw open design to complete FS: What was the first thing you designed for a company? HWL: To understand people's lives so that they can fit into the design. FS: What is your favorite material / platform / technology? HWL: Materials that do not naturally undergo superfluous processing FS: When do you feel the most creative? HWL: Holiday. That was the most relaxing time. FS: Which aspects of a design do you focus more during designing? HWL: It's mostly a return to human use FS: What kind of emotions do you feel when you design? HWL: Man's use and the feeling of space FS: From your point of view, what are the responsibilities of a designer for society and environment? HWL: How to understand the nature of man and space through design give a person a sense of belonging and recognition in space FS: How do you think the "design field" is evolving? HWL: The positive effect is that it can do something to change society. negative influence FS: What is your "golden rule" in design? HWL: Integrate nature into the room and make man belong in space FS: What skills are most important for a designer? HWL: Have good powers of observation FS: Which tools do you use during design?
