FS: Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer?
KS: I would like to make art be more interesting and interactive. This design is willing to show how the relationship between humans being and nature.

FS: Can you tell us more about your company / design studio?
KS: GOOEST was established in 2010; Establishment of institutions in Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai, and Daqing, with a total office space of more than 7000 square meters. It is a state-level high-tech enterprise with "double soft" certification and "ISO9001" international quality system certification. State-level advanced technology enterprises. At present, 47 items of software copyright, 22 items of product registration, 7 items of copyright and 8 registered trademarks have been obtained. It is the first enterprise in China to put forward the concept of "interactive multimedia". Interactive multimedia technology is widely used in the exhibition hall, children's multimedia interactive theme park, science, and technology education, digital art exhibition, commercial space, bank, catering and the various walks of life.

FS: What is "design" for you?
KS: Creativity can be based on the discovery of an existential reality or an ideational theory constructed to explain some phenomena. And the design is to make this creativity to life.

FS: What kinds of works do you like designing most?
KS: I Like to make creations by computer, such as digital art, large-scale light and shadow art, etc.

FS: What is your most favorite design, could you please tell more about it?
KS: II would like to show the real exgisting Physical elements in Nature in an abstract and simple way.

FS: What is your favorite material / platform / technology?
KS: UNITY 3D/GPU/SHADER/TD

FS: When do you feel the most creative?
KS: I feel really creative when I am staying at my office alone.

FS: Which aspects of a design do you focus more during designing?
KS: How could people interact with the design and whether people could really immerse themselves in the design.

FS: What kind of emotions do you feel when you design?
KS: The power of humans and nature. Life comes from nature, fights with nature, and blends with each other ( actually, the life back to nature finally)

FS: What kind of emotions do you feel when your designs are realized?
KS: I am proud of it.

FS: What makes a design successful?
KS: As our core values state, be passionate about everything you do. When you’re propelled by a genuine commitment to be the best you can at what you’re doing, the results will follow.

FS: When judging a design as good or bad, which aspects do you consider first?
KS: For interactive design, I will consider first if the design could strike a responsive chord in the hearts of its experiencers or visitors.

FS: From your point of view, what are the responsibilities of a designer for society and environment?
KS: In my opinion, the goal of a designer is to provide users with an unparalleled experience, the design is a kind of creation, and responsibility follows to make society and the environment better and advanced.

FS: How do you think the "design field" is evolving? What is the future of design?
KS: The " design field' is very large and there is no limit for it as long as meeting the requirements of the end-users.

FS: Where does the design inspiration for your works come from? How do you feed your creativity? What are your sources of inspirations?
KS: The inspiration for "FLUIDS" comes from the flowing water of Nature. I expressed this entity's flowing water in code and dots and lines. I hope to integrate the people's personal experience into it, so they could Interact when they experience and immerse themselves in, they will guide the picture and be a part of this design.

FS: How would you describe your design style? What made you explore more this style and what are the main characteristics of your style? What's your approach to design?
KS: My design is more focused on the field of digital + technology, I like to abstract the figurative objects, I like to use various new technologies to complete my ideas, and express them out through graphic codes and other forms, and I hope that they will generate certain Commercial value, to satisfy the multi-sensory requirement of most people and resonate in the soul.

FS: Where do you live? Do you feel the cultural heritage of your country affects your designs? What are the pros and cons during designing as a result of living in your country?
KS: I live in China. China has a history of 5,000 years, and various cultures of different regions have been formed in such a long history. They promote and rich my designs and I will Incorporate more Chinese culture into the design.

FS: How do you work with companies?
KS: I am the Co-founder of Gooest, I used to design specific projects for my clients most time.

FS: What are your suggestions to companies for working with a designer? How can companies select a good designer?
KS: Please do not give so many limitations to your designers. A good designer is will give you what you really need and follow it.

FS: Which tools do you use during design? What is inside your toolbox? Such as software, application, hardware, books, sources of inspiration etc.?
KS: UNITY 3D, GPU,SHADER,TD Advanced

FS: How long does it take to design an object from beginning to end?
KS: For FLUIDS, it took 2 months.

FS: What is the most frequently asked question to you, as a designer?
KS: Who do you design for? What are the requirements? What are the meanings? How to achieve it?

FS: What was your most important job experience?
KS: As an interactive creative director providing technical support for my clients.

FS: Who are some of your clients?
KS: Museums, business centers, entertainment parties, and others.

FS: What type of design work do you enjoy the most and why?
KS: I like digital art and artwork with immensity and interaction. Let people interact with design and immerse themselves in it.

FS: What are your future plans? What is next for you?
KS: There are many great ideas in my mind and I am planning to make them come true to be complete projects.

FS: Do you work as a team, or do you develop your designs yourself?
KS: I have my own working team, sometimes I develop designs with other teams and sometimes I develop by myself.

FS: Do you have any works-in-progress being designed that you would like to talk about?
KS: Yes, I'm making some interactive experience immersive works with large scenes, related to CAVE, and some immersive experience works that scan and generate point clouds in 3D, and try to combine Chinese traditional culture with it
