FS: Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer?
LY: I graduated from Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute of Science and Technology College in 2015. I have been studying brand art design since university. I want to be a designer mainly because I want to add a color to the society through new creation, so that everyone around me can enjoy design. Bringing beauty!
FS: Can you tell us more about your company / design studio?
LY: Our company is called Puyu Brand Design Co., Ltd., established in Longhua District, Shenzhen. The company mainly focuses on brand art design, and its design projects mainly focus on fashionable young design.
FS: What is "design" for you?
LY: 设计是通过创造来解决客户需要解决的问题，让客户的品牌和产品再市场竞争中占有一席之地，使企业品牌得到消费者的热爱
FS: What kinds of works do you like designing most?
LY: My favorite calligraphy art design with Chinese elements.
FS: What is your most favorite design, could you please tell more about it?
LY: My favorite design is a design that is in line with the aesthetics of modern young people. For example, the fashion hand-drawn illustration style is my favorite design.
FS: What was the first thing you designed for a company?
LY: The first thing I design for the company is to design the company's brand image so that more people know our company.
FS: What is your favorite material / platform / technology?
LY: My favorite technique is hand drawing and 3D space.
FS: When do you feel the most creative?
LY: At night I think it is the best time for design, because it is quieter.
FS: Which aspects of a design do you focus more during designing?
LY: 我更关注的是客户品牌的定位是否正确，是否有正确把握客户的企业战略文化！
FS: What kind of emotions do you feel when you design?
LY: The challenge of creativity
FS: What kind of emotions do you feel when your designs are realized?
LY: I feel very happy and fulfilled.
FS: What makes a design successful?
LY: I think it's creativity.
FS: When judging a design as good or bad, which aspects do you consider first?
LY: I first consider whether the design is suitable for the market and has value.
FS: From your point of view, what are the responsibilities of a designer for society and environment?
LY: I think create and beautify society.
FS: How do you think the "design field" is evolving? What is the future of design?
LY: I think design is a spiritual sustenance, and design will continue to bring beauty to society!
FS: Where does the design inspiration for your works come from? How do you feed your creativity? What are your sources of inspirations?
LY: My design inspiration is mainly through continuous understanding of the market and customer communication, plus my own understanding!
FS: What skills are most important for a designer?
LY: Independent thinking skills and software familiarity
FS: How long does it take to design an object from beginning to end?
LY: Within 1 month.
FS: What is the most frequently asked question to you, as a designer?
LY: The question I ask most often is how to make the design more design and fashionable.
FS: What type of design work do you enjoy the most and why?
LY: My favorite artwork with Chinese elements.
FS: What are your future plans? What is next for you?
LY: My future plan is to design better works.
FS: Do you work as a team, or do you develop your designs yourself?
LY: We are teamwork.
