FS: Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer?
HL: Love all the beautiful things in the world, and looking for beauty makes me a firm artist.
FS: Can you tell us more about your company / design studio?
HL: MOONMAN studio was founded not so long time, creating a unique art is its purpose.
FS: What kinds of works do you like designing most?
HL: I like the most unique and amazing works.
FS: When do you feel the most creative?
HL: When I was quiet, I could see the mountains and the water in the distance, and there were so many good ideas that I was so excited to write them all in my book.
FS: Where does the design inspiration for your works come from? How do you feed your creativity? What are your sources of inspirations?
HL: My inspiration comes from a corner, a sudden idea, a special scenery or a picture and I write them down the books before they disappear. My inspiration is from quiet, so, when you are alone, please keep a full calm mind.
FS: How would you describe your design style? What made you explore more this style and what are the main characteristics of your style? What's your approach to design?
HL: Unique and fantasy is my work’s style, is all about life in beautiful things, slowly accumulate and precipitation, let me continue to explore this style. The feature of the work is more and more reflect in its structure and material, and in some kind of light, it shows different dream effect because of its transparency. My approach is to try to make a combination of a variety of materials constantly, and ready to be reflected in all the beauty to be the ultimate.
FS: Could you please share some pearls of wisdom for young designers? What are your suggestions to young, up and coming designers?
HL: Actually, our dreams are not as far as we imagine， Courage and persistence persistence can make you more superior among crowds and close to your dream. My suggestion is the interest is sometimes the topic in your whole life, thus do not abandon and forget it.
FS: What is your "golden rule" in design?
HL: Don’t be urgent to undertake that, please make a full preparation at first.
FS: How long does it take to design an object from beginning to end?
HL: Due to the complex structure, tedious procedures of my works and my love for different and more perfect breakthrough at each time, it is a necessary process to be able to be tested. Therefore, current works need about two weeks to finish.
FS: What are your future plans? What is next for you?
HL: My future plan is to improve the current projects, constantly research new topics and take part in more international marches and displays.
