FS: Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer?
MM: I am Mehrnoosh Mirzaei Iranian product designer.I have been involved with design and making products when i made my first slipper with recycled cardboard at the age of 7. After that I got accepted to university and started to learn academic principal of design,But after 4 years study it didn't fulfill my passion then i desiccated to continue my education and i got accepted to the University of Tehran which is the first ranked university in Iran. I experienced many projects there such as only planet project for Nokia Co. My professional work experience started with Bronze Industrial group which is one the biggest manufacturer of trim parts for vehicle and after that continued with different factories in filed of housewares ,electronics,shoes and kitchenware. Besides, I was designing design oriented products and sell them in design exhibition in Sweden and japan. This year i decided to start another master in NSCAD university in Canada.
FS: What is "design" for you?
MM: These days design meaning has changed a lot but to me design has a broader meaning; design is creation it covers real products and concept of thinking
FS: What kinds of works do you like designing most?
MM: problem solving is the most favorite thing in design process.
FS: What was the first thing you designed for a company?
MM: The first thing that i designed was a redesign of speaker grill for one of the Iranian vehicle company in Iran.
FS: What is your favorite material / platform / technology?
MM: Every thing related to the natural material impressed me a lot. Because i believe that natural based materials have a pure source of energy which transfer into daily life.
FS: When do you feel the most creative?
MM: Peace and love give me power to get in touch with my inner creative power.
