KB: My favorite design is “Reed precision” turntable. I think it is one of the greatest designs I made so far. It's unique technical solutions combines with its luxurious style and at the same time its is minimal and simple turntable. That's the reason, why I like it very much.

KB: Then I fell some kind of satisfaction, when I realize that many people will use the object that I created. Feeling like this inspires me to create more, to do more good designs.

FS: When judging a design as good or bad, which aspects do you consider first?
KB: Shape and functionality, materials.

FS: From your point of view, what are the responsibilities of a designer for society and environment?
KB: Designer shapes the product tendencies, sometimes good design can change attitude to some kind of products, they can became more or less popular. Designer decisions are very important, because they can even determinate our behavior sometimes.

FS: Where does the design inspiration for your works come from? How do you feed your creativity? What are your sources of inspirations?
KB: I analyse what is designed before, I think it is very important. I go to exhibitions and find inspiration here. Sometimes inspiration comes after sketching or drawing particular object.

FS: How would you describe your design style? What made you explore more this style and what are the main characteristics of your style? What's your approach to design?
KB: I consider that my design style is more minimal. Finding reasonable shapes and minimal style is always my way to design objects. Simple shapes, clear lines and nothing unnecessary-that is my style. Good design examples like Dieter Rams with "Braun", David Lewis from "Bang&Olufsen" and "Apple" design inspires me the most.

FS: Can you talk a little about your design process?
KB: I always explore what is done before, it is very important. Then I'm tying to apply innovative solutions, it could be new function, new material or design solution. Then I make many sketches, 3d models and renderings. Very often I consult with colleagues, engineers and step by step the final design is being made.

FS: Could you please share some pearls of wisdom for young designers? What are your suggestions to young, up and coming designers?
KB: It is very important to have discussions with engineers, inventors and other designers. Also visiting exhibitions and attending various seminars is important.

FS: What is your "golden rule" in design?
KB: Never add unnecessary things to objects, never add something that is worthless. Pure vision, pure shape.

FS: What skills are most important for a designer?
KB: Sketching and 3d modelling.

FS: Which tools do you use during design? What is inside your toolbox? Such as software, application, hardware, books, sources of inspiration etc.?
KB: Personally I use Copics for sketching and 3dMax for modelling and rendering.

FS: How long does it take to design an object from beginning to end?
KB: Usually it takes months, because first design is made, engineering, later prototypes and testings must be done, packaging, branding.
