FS: Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer?
OY: I started to take art lessons when I was a child. I continued my visual arts education at high school and college art schools. I have always found the modern products, buildings, CD and magazine covers always interesting in the world interesting. That's what triggered me the most.

FS: What is "design" for you?
OY: Special design for different ideas. Design is meant for me to be unique, functional and absolutely aesthetic.

FS: What kinds of works do you like designing most?
OY: Minimalist, stylish and cool

FS: What is your most favorite design, could you please tell more about it?
OY: Actually, there is not one. I like lamp designs very much. I find design lines inspiring. At the same time I like the graphic design works of Mexico-based Anagrama Studio.

FS: What was the first thing you designed for a company?
OY: A series of illustrations for an advertising campaign.

FS: What is your favorite material / platform / technology?
OY: I usually design my work on a computer. Then I like to apply various techniques by hand made. This could be everything. Paint, gold leaf, marker etc.

FS: When do you feel the most creative?
OY: In the midnight.

FS: Which aspects of a design do you focus more during designing?
OY: The stage of production.

FS: What kind of emotions do you feel when you design?
OY: I'm excited about a design I just started. But sometimes it does not work out as I imagined.

FS: What kind of emotions do you feel when your designs are realized?
OY: It's a proud feeling to be able to reveal something.

FS: What makes a design successful?
OY: If a good work emerges at the end, it is a success.

FS: When judging a design as good or bad, which aspects do you consider first?
OY: Design balance, rhythm and ratio.

FS: From your point of view, what are the responsibilities of a designer for society and environment?
OY: To present beautiful and aesthetic designs to society and the environment.

FS: How do you think the "design field" is evolving? What is the future of design?
OY: There are too many categories. And in each one we see new ideas and inventions that reflect the voice of the period.

FS: When was your last exhibition and where was it? And when do you want to hold your next exhibition?
OY: I attended the last graduation exhibition.

FS: Where does the design inspiration for your works come from? How do you feed your creativity? What are your sources of inspirations?
OY: I can get inspiration from every work that is produced beautiful and minimalist.

FS: How would you describe your design style? What made you explore more this style and what are the main characteristics of your style? What's your approach to design?
OY: I like to produce minimal and simple work. And I like to use symmetrical lines.

FS: Where do you live? Do you feel the cultural heritage of your country affects your designs? What are the pros and cons during designing as a result of living in your country?
OY: I live in Turkey and these countries have a very broad culture, but I can not say it affected my design.

FS: Do you work as a team, or do you develop your designs yourself?
OY: I develop and production my designs myself.
