FS: Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer?
VK: I Ended Up in Architecture Because I Did Not Like Engineering and Medical. Then I Really Wanted to Explore What You Can Do in Design . So Then I Started Exploring All the Subjects in Architecture. One of the Subject Was Product Design and I Ended Up Here in This a Design Award

FS: Can you tell us more about your company / design studio?
VK: I Am Still a Student Pursuing 5th Year Architecture. But I Do Want to Start My Own Furniture Studio in a While.

FS: What is "design" for you?
VK: Art Its Something That Exits Within the Human. And Design Is Something That Is Explored by Human After the Art Is Learnt. Design Is Something Which Is New All the Time and It Should Be Given More Value Because It Is Going to Be Used by Several Users.

FS: What kinds of works do you like designing most?
VK: Transforming Stuffs , Basically Which Is Multi Functional .

FS: What is your most favorite design, could you please tell more about it?
VK: The Award Winning Design Was the Most Favorite as I Spent More Time in Resolving It and Making It Much Better and Better in Terms of Usage , Color, and Scale Etc..,

FS: What was the first thing you designed for a company?
VK: Wall Mount Shelf, Dressing Table,shoe Racks, Tv Unit in My Relatives Firm .

FS: What is your favorite material / platform / technology?
VK: Sustainable. Waste Natural Wood

FS: When do you feel the most creative?
VK: When I Listen to New Songs

FS: Which aspects of a design do you focus more during designing?
VK: Rhythm

FS: What kind of emotions do you feel when you design?
VK: Something I Feel Like I Am Living My Life Because I Am Doing Something Which Is Not at All There.

FS: What kind of emotions do you feel when your designs are realized?
VK: Feels Great and Happy That Everyone Gets to Know My Value/respect in Design

FS: What makes a design successful?
VK: Happiness and Working Hard on It

FS: When judging a design as good or bad, which aspects do you consider first?
VK: The Feel When U Get( Is It Peaceful. The Usage of It . The Value Given to It by Either by the Multiple Usage or the Creative Look of It.

FS: From your point of view, what are the responsibilities of a designer for society and environment?
VK: A Designer Could Truly Help by Starting Out Small and Helping Peers and Friends Immediately Around Himself and Sharing Skills He/she Has With Them. The Responsibility of Dealing With the Environment Is Just a Effort by Making Every Design Ecologically Sensitive/friendly.

FS: How do you think the "design field" is evolving? What is the future of design?
VK: Designs Are Evolving Well but It Has to Be More Sustainable. People Have to Unite to Make It Ecologically Sensitive in Similar Fashion. I Can Explain It Better if We Have a Face to Face Interview

FS: When was your last exhibition and where was it? And when do you want to hold your next exhibition?
VK: I Have Not Exhibited Still.

FS: Where does the design inspiration for your works come from? How do you feed your creativity? What are your sources of inspirations?
VK: Random Sketches and Music When I Am in a Clam Mood.

FS: How would you describe your design style? What made you explore more this style and what are the main characteristics of your style? What's your approach to design?
VK: My Style Is to Transform the Design According to Time. Hence Time Is the Fourth Dimension Which I Wanted to Explore in Design.

FS: Where do you live? Do you feel the cultural heritage of your country affects your designs? What are the pros and cons during designing as a result of living in your country?
VK: Bangalore. Culture Really Affected Me a Lot in a Good Way. Bangalore Is Where I Started Doing Things Which Is Random and Thats What That Helps the Design Ideas Evolve . Before Coming to Bangalore I Used to Be Very Rigid Technical Person.

FS: How do you work with companies?
VK: I have interned. Its challenging to show up your design skills and make them give value to it as they think i am still young to make anything extraordinary .

FS: What are your suggestions to companies for working with a designer? How can companies select a good designer?
VK: I Have Interned. Its Challenging to Show Up Your Design Skills and Make Them Give Value to It as They Think I Am Still Young to Make Anything Extraordinary .

FS: Can you talk a little about your design process?
VK: Its Sketching With Music . So That Helped Me to Get a Rhythm in Design

FS: What are 5 of your favorite design items at home?
VK: I Do Not Have It Yet. But if So It Would Be Coffee Table, Shelf,bed,table,chair

FS: Can you describe a day in your life?
VK: Today . I Am Chilling in My Friends House and Filling This Interview After Having a Great Lunch. She Basically Treated Me. I Just Hope That I Wont Fall Asleep While Filling the Rest of the Interview .

FS: Could you please share some pearls of wisdom for young designers? What are your suggestions to young, up and coming designers?
VK: I Am Young Designer Myself

FS: From your perspective, what would you say are some positives and negatives of being a designer?
VK: Negatives Are Paid Less,less Value. Positive Are Creative,trail and Error in Anything , There Are No Rules in It.

FS: What is your "golden rule" in design?
VK: Design for the Society Which Makes a Lot of Value.

FS: What skills are most important for a designer?
VK: Thinking and Putting Multiple Thoughts Together.

FS: Which tools do you use during design? What is inside your toolbox? Such as software, application, hardware, books, sources of inspiration etc.?
VK: Sketching, Music Background, 3ds Max Software.

FS: Designing can sometimes be a really time consuming task, how do you manage your time?
VK: Its Just the Confidence and the Guts You Go Beyond Even Its Time Consuming and the Way You Allot Time for Various Things.

FS: How long does it take to design an object from beginning to end?
VK: Depends on the Interest and Design

FS: What is the most frequently asked question to you, as a designer?
VK: What Do You Design

FS: What was your most important job experience?
VK: Space Lab Architecture, Bangalore. That Was the Company Where the Architect Gave Value to My Interest on Furniture Design and Helped Me Even Though He Has Nothing to Do With Furniture Design.

FS: Who are some of your clients?
VK: Relatives

FS: What type of design work do you enjoy the most and why?
VK: Furniture Because the Scale Is Easy to Handle and Not as Huge as Architecture

FS: What are your future plans? What is next for you?
VK: Go to Italy and Learn More About Furniture Design With Great Designers Over There. I Hope Someone Could Help Me With That Since I Am Still a Student.

FS: Do you work as a team, or do you develop your designs yourself?
VK: Myself

VK: No

What I Mean to Say Is That I Need Either Someone Could Sponsor Me to Make the Product or at Least Someone Could Give Me an Opportunity to Learn More by Giving an Internship or Job Under Them.
