Interview with Georgi Tumpalov at Friday 5th of July 2024 FS: Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer? GT: All my live my dream was to build my own castle. FS: Can you tell us more about your company / design studio? GT: We started many years ago in 1996 with 10 people from the local village FS: What is "design" for you? GT: Design is the express yourself. FS: What kinds of works do you like designing most? GT: Mainly architecture work FS: What is your most favorite design, could you please tell more about it? GT: Sagrada La familia is my favourie design FS: What was the first thing you designed for a company? GT: I started about 30 years ago with the castle FS: What is your favorite material / platform / technology? GT: Stones, marble, onyx, wood FS: When do you feel the most creative? GT: When I finish some period and plan the next FS: Which aspects of a design do you focus more during designing? GT: Most importa are details FS: What kind of emotions do you feel when you design? GT: Love and hope FS: What kind of emotions do you feel when your designs are realized? GT: Sweet hearth FS: What makes a design successful? GT: Details FS: When judging a design as good or bad, which aspects do you consider first? GT: I live next to the sea and next to the mountain FS: How do you work with companies? GT: Friendly FS: What are your suggestions to companies for working with a designer? How can companies select a good designer? GT: Designer must select FS: Can you talk a little about your design process?
