FS: Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer?
FF: When I was 13 years old, I met an artist. How teached me how to draw. During my apprenticeship as a machine builder, I have learned to construct products. I graduated in graphic design and produkt design. I worked as an assistent for Patrick Frey industrial design. He was a big source of inspiration to me.
FS: Can you tell us more about your company / design studio?
FF: I started my self-employment in early 2015. And it´s currently developing.
FS: What is "design" for you?
FF: It´s my way to communicate.
FS: What kinds of works do you like designing most?
FF: Furniture and luminaires.
FS: What is your most favorite design, could you please tell more about it?
FF: Simple design with a strong statement.
FS: What was the first thing you designed for a company?
FF: As a trainee for ID Design Munich I developed a packaging for Irwin Industrial Tools.
FS: What is your favorite material / platform / technology?
FF: Wood, it´s natural and every piece is unique.
FS: When do you feel the most creative?
FF: Alone in nature or when I wake up in the morning.
FS: Which aspects of a design do you focus more during designing?
FF: The idea has to stay true to its principles.
FS: What kind of emotions do you feel when you design?
FF: I feel like a child and everything is possible.
FS: What kind of emotions do you feel when your designs are realized?
FF: Next work is waiting.
FS: What makes a design successful?
FF: It makes other happy.
FS: When judging a design as good or bad, which aspects do you consider first?
FF: Is it telling a story.
FS: How do you think the "design field" is evolving? What is the future of design?
FF: To combine knowlege from different designers and companies.
FS: When was your last exhibition and where was it? And when do you want to hold your next exhibition?
FF: It is my first exhibition. The next is the DMY Berlin this year.
FS: Where does the design inspiration for your works come from? How do you feed your creativity? What are your sources of inspirations?
FF: Cross-thinking and working in different fields.
FS: How would you describe your design style? What made you explore more this style and what are the main characteristics of your style? What's your approach to design?
FF: Art+live experience+ talk to other designers+good listener+refelection and Design.
