FS: Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer?
JDKRW: We are design graphic's agency. For more than 8 years, we have dedicated to make design to create a better world. We tries hard to represent as impressive design to customers.
FS: Can you tell us more about your company / design studio?
JDKRW: PT Elemen Sukses Mandiri is a Jakarta-based creative branding and design company. We offer an outstanding quality in our wide range of services to drive business success and build strong relationships between companies and their customers. We are specializing in the development and implementation of brand identities, packaging, websites, company profile, annual report, and motion graphics. We work with all sorts of businesses from large multi-national to entrepreneurial start-ups both public and private sectors. FS: What is "design" for you?
JDKRW: design is making a future, enlighten people, creating harmonious, helping people to sell their product
FS: What kinds of works do you like designing most?
JDKRW: feng shui logo, it's about business, art, and fengshui.
FS: What is your most favorite design, could you please tell more about it?
JDKRW: i love to draw a book that can used to enlighten people. We do research and also design.
FS: What was the first thing you designed for a company?
JDKRW: Optimalize research for our client's company
FS: What is your favorite material / platform / technology?
JDKRW: systemized
FS: When do you feel the most creative?
JDKRW: When we goes to brainstorming
FS: Which aspects of a design do you focus more during designing?
JDKRW: Feng Shui, a study comprehensive to improve their logo's value.
FS: What kind of emotions do you feel when you design?
JDKRW: I think we gave it all out. All of our emotion can be seen in every our design
FS: What kind of emotions do you feel when your designs are realized?
JDKRW: satisfied. We tried hard to make a masterpiece.
FS: What makes a design successful?
JDKRW: can solve people's problem
FS: When judging a design as good or bad, which aspects do you consider first?
JDKRW: concept
FS: From your point of view, what are the responsibilities of a designer for society and environment?
JDKRW: We help people to be healthy, just like a CSR that our company did every 3-4 months to help people in orphanage (disability: hydrocephalus disease) I think everyone has the right to enjoy life also we help United Nation Volunteer's design for Ghana, France, etc
FS: How do you think the "design field" is evolving? What is the future of design?
JDKRW: Design is our future. We create future to make a better world.
FS: When was your last exhibition and where was it? And when do you want to hold your next exhibition?
JDKRW: Yes, my last exhibition is February 2015 in Gramedia, Surabaya. Our next exhibition is March 12-15th in Jakarta Convention Center, this event held by Mandiri Bank, we also join as a speaker in this event.
FS: Where does the design inspiration for your works come from? How do you feed your creativity? What are your sources of inspirations?
JDKRW: God is our inspiration
FS: How would you describe your design style? What made you explore more this style and what are the main characteristics of your style? What's your approach to design?
JDKRW: i love to create layout design. Especially to explore something new and extraordinary design but makes our client impressed.
FS: Where do you live? Do you feel the cultural heritage of your country affects your designs? What are the pros and cons during designing as a result of living in your country?

FS: How do you work with companies?
JDKRW: we work not just as a partner but also like a family
FS: What are your suggestions to companies for working with a designer? How can companies select a good designer?
JDKRW: select their attitude first, skill can be improve later
FS: Can you talk a little about your design process?
JDKRW: research, create brand names, brainstorming, sketch, using computer
FS: What are 5 of your favorite design items at home?
JDKRW: My bunny ^^,
FS: Can you describe a day in your life?
JDKRW: heaven
FS: Could you please share some pearls of wisdom for young designers? What are your suggestions to young, up and coming designers?
JDKRW: young designer: never give up to learn up designer: never give up to learn coming designer: never give up to learn
FS: From your perspective, what would you say are some positives and negatives of being a designer?
JDKRW: + i have my own design world. I can create anything - very excited, sometime i forget to eat :D
FS: What is your "golden rule" in design?
JDKRW: Create a masterpiece!
FS: What skills are most important for a designer?
JDKRW: thirst for knowledge
FS: Which tools do you use during design? What is inside your toolbox? Such as software, application, hardware, books, sources of inspiration etc.?
JDKRW: adobe illustrator, photoshop,
FS: Designing can sometimes be a really time consuming task, how do you manage your time?
JDKRW: we have manage our time in our daily schedule
FS: How long does it take to design an object from beginning to end?
JDKRW: depend of the job, for example to create 1 page final layout about 3-6 hours
FS: What is the most frequently asked question to you, as a designer?
JDKRW: My clients almost ask to us: can you create our brand better? You can do whatever you like..
FS: What was your most important job experience?
JDKRW: work from zero. I learn from nothing to be a something..
FS: Who are some of your clients?
JDKRW: our client class: B+ to A. some company like yamaha distributor (>100 branch), public listed company like martha tilaar, plane, mining, contractor, developer, etc
FS: What type of design work do you enjoy the most and why?
JDKRW: layout, you can experiment anything
FS: What are your future plans? What is next for you?
