DESIGN NAME: Live Small Think Big
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residence
INSPIRATION: The folding desktop and the golden dining chairs transform the rear space of hallway into the end scenery and aisle. Use the cabinet and a small tea table to form the facade together. Both of the wall and the table surface are made of dark matte material to hide the object. Put down the desktop and a light dining space is formed. It has both hallway and dining room function.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The area of this residential planning project is relatively small, so it is more challenging in terms of spatial layout and planning. In order to include hallway, living room, dining room, study room, etc., the unique feature of this project is that the dining room is hidden at the entrance of the hallway.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The rear private areas are master bedroom and secondary bedroom. Long aisle is eliminated to increase the space of bedrooms. Ashlar brick and wood are used in the secondary bedroom to create an elegant and simple resting space.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Specially choose stainless steel and natural stone with rich texture as TV wall, overturning the mainstream concept. Add changes of lighting details, stretching the spatial depth. Marble and metal are used in the short tea table. The connection of the materials makes the space coherent. An open study is planned at the rear of the living room. The simple black iron storage is used as end scenery of the living room. A widened couch is placed to allow the space to have both living room and storage function.
Simple and delicate ceilings and concealed luminaires make the space larger.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The soft yellow is different from the blue color of the master bedroom, creating a sense of contrast. The whole room is made of different materials such as stainless steel, natural stone, color paint, iron, etc. to create conflicting beauty of delicate and smooth, unbridled and three-dimensional. Multiple golden furniture makes the sense of a little gorgeous. All materials are used in balance. It shows that small space design with strong practical basis is more aesthetic and artistic.
