PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Residence

INSPIRATION:
To get away from a life full of electronic technology product pressure, through classical vocabulary, with cornice shaping the elegant and relaxing feel, with giant painting, piano represents gentleness in space life, creates an elegant gallery style. The TV wall is linked to the sliding door, which makes space have dialogue and rhythm, and also makes space have different moods; the warmth conveyed by the fireplace is not the flame, rather melodious string to soothe the heart.

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Pay attention to environmental protection demands, green building materials with certification are used for construction. The entire room designed with barrier-free space, and marble pattern MFC board is used to beautify the overall space, deliberately avoiding leather products. Through the mountain scenery as background, marble wall surface creates a natural image, artistic painting, piano, and three types of skylight combination builds up space atmospheres that cause elegant and unique behavior.

OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
After considered the individual housing needs of the client, the designer adjusted the original three bedrooms layout of the construction plan to a two bedrooms configuration, and changed the independent piano room into an open-end combination with the dining hall, which not only brought the light into the dining area, but also improved the house social function, becomes a wonderful large place for family interaction.

PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
The project finished in January, 2019 in Taichung City, Taiwan.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
Painted wood, Marble slab, Titanium plate, MFC board, Mirror, Iron piece.

SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES:
The actual indoor area is 80 square meters, the layout configurations are an entrance hall, living room, dining room, kitchen, with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
In order to regain the happy childhood memory, the apartment design is based on the former British style classical house of the client, creating a living space that combines warmth and individuality. The designer uses a movable wall to bring abundant expression to the public space, deliberately putting away the electronic equipment. The dining kitchen island and dining table combination expand the public space axis. The table legs were used a mirrored material, showing an extraordinary lifestyle.

CHALLENGE:
Stabilizing the large-size sliding door track structure of the TV wall and slamming bracket light into the TV sliding door were the most challenging tasks. Moreover, in this limited space, designer reconsidered the original layout and circulation in the house to expand the overall home environment. All the classical cornice configuration needs to be tried and tested to achieve the desired results. It creates a simple and elegant environment for the overall space.
