| DESIGN NAME: A Moment Of Quiet PRIMARY FUNCTION: Home Interior Design INSPIRATION: Inspired by the peaceful and elegance atmosphere of the Oriental Garden, we restructure the function of spaces and minimalist the shapes with raw textures and natural materials to create a calm yet peaceful atmosphere throughout the space with natural light. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: In Taiwan, the majority of Resident inhabited old apartments that are more than 30 years old. However, the old space type and circulations are already out of dates. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: You can feel the atmosphere of nature in the city. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: How to let natural light and air flow in the space and that is the key of this case. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: This project is located in Northern Taiwan. However, the subtropical climate is quite hot in the summer of Northern Taiwan. This design is planned to improve natural ventilation and allow residents who lives in the spaces can feel the natural breeze and skylight of all season. TAGS: Naturally, peaceful, energy conservation, eco-friendly RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Naturally peaceful and energy conservation are the main design philosophy of this project. CHALLENGE: We want to invite the lights and breeze in. To achieve that, we first restructure and redefines the spaces arrangement and relayout the spaces. Improve the ventilation and brightening the spaces by open up and restructure the layout. With brand new plan and circulation, we create a space with calm and simplicity. Yet welcome the lights and breeze in, and natural eco-friendly space who efficacious reduce the use of electricity. Taiwan is located in the Pacific Rim earthquake zone. There are large and small earthquakes and typhoons every year. How to make the old buildings suitable for living and safe, this will be the challenge of this case.
