| DESIGN NAME: Tower Complex PRIMARY FUNCTION: Tower Complex INSPIRATION: The idea of designing the tower was the shape of the sail. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The tower complex consists of an observation tower hosts a restaurant and an observation desk, 2 smart lifts, an auditorium building and a gallery. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The design of the tower building baed on a concrete core support with an attached steel tubular structure based on the shape of the sail. Aerodynamic tools used to design the top element of the tower to resist on high winds and respond dynamucally to earthquake with seismic design triangular system enclosed on the concrete core. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The tower is 60m tall and the buildings occupy 1800sq.m. building area. TAGS: aerodynamics, sustainabiity, urban design, high rise RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Aerodynamic design tools was used to identify both the core, the top deck and the side steel structure of the tower. CHALLENGE: The challenge was to design an elegant, light in the sky with high aesthetics and modern in appearance observation tower.
