PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Several types of natural marbles are used separately to tell from different areas. In addition, stones are cut out from large format, and when arranging, all the stones are aligned. By doing so, a wonderful entrance hall is create with delicate pattern like water flow. There is no interruption on the floor, the wall and the ceiling, which produces a luxury space seams to be made by whole single stone. Moreover, the open area used four types of marble arranged side by side, which looks like a patchwork. Therefore, the design team make it a bright and relaxing expression while using marble stones.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: In order to make the arched ceiling look artistic, the team designs it differently from general ceiling facility placement. Especially, since the ceiling has a curved surface, air conditioning machine is placed in high position, adopting a side-blowing method from the descending ceiling surface. The curved ceiling, which guides air from the lateral direction towards a higher position along the curved surface, through which process a flow of air circulation is created in the space. The height of the slit shape is made about 6 cm to weaken the sense of presence of the outlet so as to harmonize it with the design of the entire space.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: When entering the space, there is an elongated entrance hall with marble running through the floor, wall and ceiling. Here, the design team tried to create an unreal space by playing with reflections of marble stone and repetitions of light, so that the guests' expectations could be exceeded.
CHALLENGE: The private rooms are designed as calm spaces with dignity and elegance. Five different-size of rooms are placed at both sides of a narrow corridor decorated with lined wooden louvers. All doors are hidden, so that the inside space and outside space are linked up, meanwhile guests can still enjoy a comfortable private time. Contrary to open area, warm materials such as wood, leather and drapery are used extensively, making it a refined but calm space. On the wallside, windows are designed to screenshot the landscape of the Bund and artworks which reffered to the Bund are carefully chosen in order to add color to the whole space.
