| DESIGN NAME: Comfortable Living with Views PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential House INSPIRATION: Due to the unique oval volume of the building itself, this residential spatial planning project allows the interior to present symmetric long space. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The entrance is located at the center, and the long space at the entrance is planned as the public space, the middle part being the landscape rest area, with the living room and dining room on both sides. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The private area is allocated on both sides of the building in symmetric style, allowing each of the family members with own privacy. The master bedroom is arranged with progressive frames with internal slanted angles, which incorporate the design language of metallic totem carvings; the entire room in light-colored tone allows the overall to demonstrate a cozy, soft and relaxing spatial atmosphere. The secondary bedroom presents an urban American-style colorful design, demonstrating even more sentiment. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project finished in 2018 in New Taipei City, Taiwan. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The residence features a large area of outdoor sceneries, and an arc rest area is arranged in the center of the indoor space during the planning process; the carved metallic screen by the entrance endows the space with visual transparency, while the sophisticated and delicate outlines along with the crystal chandelier add certain luxury to the coziness, thereby presenting a unique spatial look; the arrangement of the single chair allows one to be embraced by the fireplace, the saltwater aquarium and the greenness to admire the outdoor views afar while feeling much relaxed being surrounded by these. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The space is 198 square meters TAGS: Interior Design, Residential,House,Sp RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Small separation walls and array screen design are used to allow the space with partition while enriched in visual and dynamic circulation. American-style simplicity is used as the foundation for space, while designs enriched in detail variations demonstrate the sense of spatial beauty. CHALLENGE: The living room on the left uses a large number of windows and natural lighting with the base tone of soft white color, creating a modern public space with American-style elegance and majestic quality; the cloud marble flooring connects the entire space via the corridor width, allowing consistency to the public space which is divided into three parts. The dining room on the right features sharply reduced spatial lighting, allowing the spatial atmosphere to be more tranquil; the display shelf integrated with the wall allows private collection to fuse into the spatial end view, offering the dining and kitchen space with a completely different sentiment to the living room with the dark-colored tone as the foundation. The overall space is equipped with floor heating and dehumidifier facility according to the regional environment, these are designs that are more suitable to the living aspects.
