Plastic Barrier

INSPIRATION:
Holeczech bring a new look on plastic barriers that can be used indoors and outdoors as well. Safety is more and more important nowadays so by combining unique design and current safety requirements it was achieved this unique look. Traffic products are too technical and thats why, it was time to change this situation.

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
X Barrier is made to combine high safety standards and unique design together. They are easy to set up, pack and transport. X barrier perfectly fit outdoors or into interiors thanks to a modern fresh look. Barrier either come with movable feet (also on wheels) or steel tubes, which are changeable during the lifetime. All parts are developed and designed as new and offer unlimited variability and utilization possibilities. Unique properties: unique design, feet with wheels or tubes, enter gate, 100% recyclable

OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
X barrier is designed to be simple and have intuitive usage, with possibility of connecting more barriers together by a flexible link. The barrier is compatible to existing products that are on the market. Barrier is also bigger compared to other solutions on market, so it arouse a better feeling regarding safety for the user.

PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
The project started in August 2016 in Czechia and finished in June 2018 in Czechia.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
Made by company that specialise in designing and manufacturing unique moulded and injected plastic products. Plastic barrier is made by blow moulding and components with injection technology. Material is HDPE. Components are made from PA6, PC/ABS, PE.

CHALLENGE:
Hardest part during the design process was to combine new look and current safety laws and requirements. In the beginning there was over 15 design proposals to choose from. After narrowing it down to 3 designs, X barrier was the right choice.
