INSPIRATION:
Usually, after disaster, the polluted water problem will cause a large number of people get ill and even face life threat. We’d like to settle this problem by a high-efficient and green way, and it brings the Bottle Mate to the world after thousands of trial and research. The Bottle Mate can remove the harmful substances from water by a special purifying method. The water purified by Bottle Mate can be drunk directly. One tap can purify about 300 gallons of water, and it is convenient to take outside and will improve the water taste and settle the quality problem.

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The Bottle Mate is highly efficient. It can remove residual chlorine and organic pollutants in tap water to improve the taste and quality of drinking water. Bottle Mate is used as adapter for water bottles. It can filter tap water into healthy drinkable water immediately. It is perfect for travelling, disaster areas and poverty areas etc. It has a good price/performance ratio and is also purchased by the UN charity for the distribution of unsafe water in the area.

OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
The product-Bottle Mate is used as adapter for water bottles. It can filter tap water into healthy drinkable water immediately. It is perfect for travelling, business trip, school and household etc. It is suitable for most water bottles, beverage bottles and sports water cups. It is worth mentioning that it can filter 100 liters of tap waterr, equivalent to about 300 bottles. It can not only remove the impurities in the water, but also inhibit the growth of bacteria.

Example: The project started in June 2016 in Foshan and finished in August 2017 in Dongguan.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
The Bottle Mate is highly efficient. With the carbon fiber inside, it can reduce Lead and other heavy metals which are detrimental to human body. What’s more, it can remove residual chlorine and organic pollutants in tap water to improve the taste and quality of drinking water. The bottle Mate is eco-friendly, it can filter more than 100L/26gallons water which equals 300 water bottles (1 bottle=350ml).

CHALLENGE:
When we develop Bottle Mater, the main problem faced is to use the special filter complying with international safety standard. We have tested different drinking styles to reduce the drinking resistance by the simplest method and to make the purifying device much quick and efficient. Finally, we decided to use cap close style. And for the material, we have decided the feasible one after consulting with many specialists and research institute.
