RESEARCH ABSTRACT: There're a lot of proverbs in both Chinese and English history, but I still want to make something new and strong meaning, also can be reviewed time after time. In this project, the meaning is the most important, as a window to understand Chinese character meanings. in order to communicate as widely as possible, I try to use the simplest elements. This project is just a start, I'll keep going when more inspiration appears in my daily life. And also, it's like sort of open source design, which can be added into new info and character in the future by different amateur designers or professionals.
CHALLENGE: How to make the gap shorter between English and Chinese comprehension, from which starting point, use which words, which phrase, how to handle with different characters and still make it balanced, good legibility and aesthetically feel nice.
