PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Residential House

INSPIRATION:
Neoclassical style striving for construction method and details that make people can experience the delicate aesthetics in this style. This project grasps boutique and fashion elements and integrates the elegant by blending black, white and diamond pattern, and completes main wall and other exquisite arrangement by material, color, line board and edge, and rhombus to successfully embody the home owners’ personality and preference in residential space and show unique customization spirit.

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
In this case, the neoclassical style is designed to echo the peculiarity of the occupants, and the elegant atmosphere is shown by plenty of white elements inspired by the inspiration of Art Deco, the diamond pattern is used to show the classical primary vision and represents the good luck to the owners. The design focuses on how to achieve the visual consistency of the cabinet style, unobstructed vision, and increase space interaction of family or friends reunion.

OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
Before the designer takes over this case, the owner has requested an acquainted designer to plan the space but fluent dynamic line and pattern arrangement of the resident space cannot be presented. As the owner keeps an eye on the Shizhu Design Group, the owner gives up the original design and requests Shizhu Design Group to re-plan the space to achieve fluent space planning. A full-length mirror is arranged at the left side of the hallway and the dynamic line is led to the drawing room; in the public area, the designer designs the television walls not built to the floor top for reserving an access to provide roomier public area, and more freer interaction and communication between the drawing room and the dining room. Even for the study at the back of the sofa, the oppression of narrow space is removed by penetrability design, imported wallpaper with special figures and indirect light source, Boutique texture is shown in tiny space; the owner's five family members are very harmonious, even the hostess is able to make cookies, and a bar counter and a light food area is built to provide an area for the whole family to get along at ordinary times.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
Two presold houses are merged by removal of middle partition wall to form 50m2 resident interior. Imposing and grandiose posture is emphasized over the hallway area, and so diamond pattern block floors are installed, and imposing end feature wall is built by golden mountain stone with gradient facade and amber gloss surface and titanium-coated metal trim strip; in large-area space, two-sided cabinet design is used for the television wall to improve storage function, the wall is built in the middle of the space but not built to floor top to separate the drawing room and dining room and form a whole open and flowing space. To manifest the process detail of the neoclassical style, the spare is divided by while bottom and gray wall surface, imposing manner is shown by end visual scene and Art Deco; the crossbeam is decorated by locally attaching mirror surface or visual openness is extended; the classical element of Chanel is perfectly presented in the master bedroom, the wall surface is painted in cream color and gradient line board mould is built by black trim strip to restore of the classic elegance of 1960s.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
Two presold adjacent houses are merged by removal of middle partition wall to provide a capacious resident space; the public area is arranged in the middle according to the benchmark double door, the drawing room is separated from the dining room by half height television wall, and a walkway is reserved at two sides to provide open sense of space, two sides are built to private area so that public and private area are naturally clear and symmetrical. To echo with the owner’s temperament and fashion taste in loving Chanel, whole interior is decorated by neoclassical style, white and gray coating is used in the public area to provide the elegance of classical elements in the space, and the main visual design is strengthened by connecting the areas by classical rhombus symbols and application of Art Deco; the coating which the use is fond of is used in the private area with various changes, and customized neoclassical space is built.

CHALLENGE:
The challenge is how to deliver the details of the neoclassical style, show and arrange process details and reproduce classical romantic charm of Chanel of 1960s and 70s so as to achieve harmonious, cultured and elegant space design.
