DESIGN NAME: The Sharing Office
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Office
INSPIRATION: Overhauling a 20-year-old building which has abundant sunlight, the designer considering the issue of western exposure merged the balcony and adjoin room into one complete space, which is stress-relieved for great view and money-saving for well ventilation.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: From the architectural perspectives of “practicality” and “vision,” the sharing office, a delicate working space, can either “vertically” or “horizontally” “separate” “merge” or “disintegrate” spaces full of interests and logics. People, in different companies, can work in the same space, which is a comfortable and reliable working environment.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The kitchen, alongside the foyer, is straight connected to the balcony. A bigger space can be conveniently adjusted to hold more people when opening the glass doors that are furnished between the kitchen and meeting room. For the glass decorated between the executive office and meeting room, people working in either space share sufficient sunlight.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project in New Taipei City, Taiwan.
FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Interior Space and Exhibition Design

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The linear layout is separately divided as an administrative area and a connected space, which consists of the kitchen, meeting room and executive office. The delicate vista, made of white ariston marbles and adorned at the foyer, ingeniously preserves the privacy for the indoor space. The administrative area has the great view to the outdoor environment.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The space is 130 square meters
