| DESIGN NAME: Oli PRIMARY FUNCTION: Compact Thermos Design INSPIRATION: The main purpose of this unique thermos is to be alternative for ordinary thermos design in the market and enhance the capability of them. The idea comes from the fact that both students and working people cannot maintain their eating habits when they are away from their home. Based on this problem, Oli introduces a unique thermos design that allows people to carry their own healthy drinks freshly and infuse their natural teas wherever they are at. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The product system consists of 3 separate cups at the bottom which allows them to carry same type or different types of teas freshly along with them. To brew the desired type of tea, all you have to do is to turn the corresponding container slightly and activate the strainer underneath of the hot water reservoir and the tea starts to brew naturally. By this way, people can continue their healthy drinking habits away from their home as well as increase their motivation in the working places. It was also awarded in the competition. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: It is foreseen that the product will be produced from aluminum material in terms of durability and form options. The form of the product is given by metal injection method and if desired, electrostatic staining is done. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The length and width of the product are 225 mm, 115 mm. TAGS: Product, thermos, mobility, compactibility, RESEARCH ABSTRACT: While designing Oli, drinking habits, working habits and personal choices of people were researched. With these outcomes Oli was shaped for behaviours of people. CHALLENGE: The creative and uniuqe point of this design, is to satisfy drinking habits of people. When they work in their office or any outdoor places, to have chance of drinking fresh tea is our aim.
