| DESIGN NAME: Polyline PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential INSPIRATION: There is emerald basement in the expansive and bright public area, make people feel brisk and hassle-free. Living room and dining room are blank-leaving, furniture delimits the function and the traffic flow could be free. Sunshine is full of the space because of the large quantity of French windows; create a spacious and brilliant public area. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The ceilings’ gradation extends vertically, the folding shape and light strips perfectly modify the original large beam through the house, connect natural light outside to create a gradation of light and shade in sequence. Spread the special perception and visual tension, responds the natural simple brisk style in the house, represent a clear and dazzling vacation villa. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The marble bar counter table responds to the half-high TV master wall. The open dining room shares the sunlight with living room through furniture delimits the function, and improves the penetration on vision in the smaller space. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Living room is warm but expansive; this area is bright because of adequate ambient light. The vision and traffic low are freer by half-high TV master wall which separates the functions of the public area. The sunshine filtered in the room seems warmer with the brisk tone wall, the space is free. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The interior space is approximately 66 square-meters in area, The ceilings’ gradation extends vertically, the folding shape and light strips perfectly modify the original large beam through the house, connect natural light outside to create a gradation of light and shade in sequence. Spread the special perception and visual tension, responds the natural simple brisk style in the house, represent a clear and dazzling vacation villa. TAGS: - RESEARCH ABSTRACT: - CHALLENGE: The owner wants to have a house with good circulating and bright. Instead of a partition, the space is separated sleeping area from study room by the large cupboard in the private area. Two areas can share the same natural illumination. The strong geometric lines of the cupboards collocate with the storage of light cabinet door and the display of dark cabinet, strikes a balance among the particulars, special perception and utility. The master room is concealed in the innermost, the partial display cabinet is hollowed out, we didn’t use the wall, choose the glass instead, and the sunlight could shine through the whole room. Although the whole space could share the sunshine, there are independent spaces.
