| DESIGN NAME: Space for children PRIMARY FUNCTION: Interior Design INSPIRATION: The inspiration for design comes from the natural world. The natural elements we extracted are sunlight, clouds, wind, river, bubbles, trees, leaves, boats and elephants, their space images are modeled after origami. For example, in the main functional area, there is a towering tree that reach into the cloud. The elephant's bookcase is also a slide. There are lots of bubbles on the bookshelves in picture book's area, the children can sit in and read. The overall design pursues the happiness of childlike innocence. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project is a multi functional early childhood development club, for children between zero and eight years old. The function is mainly experiential. The whole space is divided into five parts: functional area of children's activity, area of picture books, painting area, area for music and dance district and children's theater. The design integrates the natural elements into the space design to create a fairytale artistic conception. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The project is a multi functional, experiential early childhood development club, for children between zero and eight years old. According to the teaching characteristics of the club, the children's psychological and physical activities are emphasized. On the function, considering the safety and the use of children, and there are designed different sense of space in the club, the children can enjoy different experience to choose, to feel, to create, to bring the joy of childhood. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in March 2013 in Shenyang China and finished in October 2013 in Shenyang China. It won the interior design Excellence Award in 2013 China Star Design Art Awards and National Packaging Design Awards. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Fireproof wood is used to make all kinds of shapes in interior design. Viewed from color, the waterborne paint created the space atmosphere more abundant. The ground used environmental protection, high quality ground glue. Local ground laid carpet, to strengthen comfort. Other accessories materials such as, rattan products, plastic products, glass fiber products etc. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The total area of the project is 1000 square meters.
