| DESIGN NAME: Mix bag PRIMARY FUNCTION: Multi-functional bike bag INSPIRATION: The Integration of The Mix Bag and The Rear Light. Usually the rear light stays on the bicycle by itself. When you need the Mix Bag for storage, you can simply and quickly install it onto the rear warning light. The warning light will be projected onto the transparent part of the Mix Bag to increase the visibility and the brightness of the light. This feature enhances the safety when riding the bicycle at night.The Mix Bag can be quickly removed, so that the valuables can be carried around. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Integration of The Mix Bag and The Rear Light. Usually the rear light stays on the bicycle by itself. When you need the Mix Bag for storage, you can simply and quickly install it onto the rear warning light. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The functions and the installations of the warning light and the Mix Bag are the same as those available on the market. To assemble the Mix Bag on the warning light, it does not require any tools nor does it require any instruction. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The design has started in February 2017 and is expected to be completed in July 2018. It will be in the Taipei Bicycle Exhibition in October 2018. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The Mix Bag :made of waterproof nylon fabrics; the fabrics are of great quality and the design is simple but trendy; the transparent cover is made of PC plastics. Bracket:made of ABS plastics. Warning lights: made of ABS materials, it provides strong support and stability. Transparent light cover:made of PC plastics need USB charger SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Rear Lights:L65 x W30 x H16(mm) bag:L165 x W51 x H100 (mm) Bracket:L65x W60 x H31(mm) TAGS: Bracket，lights，M RESEARCH ABSTRACT: We had interviewed dozens of bicycle users and have found. 1. Most users felt that there were too many accessories and the space was limited.2. The accessories were unique and trendy; however, they looked incoherent and weirdwhen put together.3. It was very inconvenient that the current bicycle bags were lack of mobility 4. Most female users felt that the accessories were difficult to assemble.Based on the feedbacks above, we redesign and integrate the two parts, rear warning light and the bag. CHALLENGE: The Mix Bag’s greatest challenge is to project the light onto the Bag because it might reduce or affect the visibility of the light. Despite the challenge, we overcome the difficulty by increasing the visibility of the light to make riding at night safer. In addition, we have made the assembling process easy and simple. The design of Mix bag does not affect the appearance of the bicycle and the installation does not require additional support and tools.
