| DESIGN NAME: Ink Marker PRIMARY FUNCTION: Refillable INSPIRATION: It's very inconvenient to refill marker (can only be done from the pen point) plus it's low capacity. This is so trouble, and we thought if a pen is refillable why not a marker.So we combine color pouch and marker together and increase the volume up to 3 times with various colour and flexibility.Two different size ends, easy for you to recognize and bring you a better holding. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This product is a combination of ink pouch and marker pen, which improves the ink changing problem of an ordinary marker. It's not only just practical and convenience but also represent our own effort to environmental protection and the conservation of resources. The ink pouch is available in full color ranges to match with all kinds of markers. The Ink Marker bases environmental recovery profiles, which saves resources. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Just simply put the ink pouch in the marker and you are ready to go. There's a tiny hole at the front end of the ink pouch and it interconnected with the sponge inside of the pen point. The ink will be leaded out and we insure you the tightness, the excellent leak proof construction. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The design had started in October 2017 in Shenyang, completed in February 2018 in Shenyang, and displayed in the same year in the museum of LuXun Academy of Fine Arts in Shenyang. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The main body of Ink Marker uses Recyclable Environmental Protection Plastics. Using numerical control and manual processing, each part is inserted and assembled. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The whole size is 160 mm x 16 mm x 16 mm, The size of ink sac is 60 mm x 15 mm x 15 mm TAGS: Saves resources, Recyclable material, Ease of installation, For easy of use, Replaceable RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Refillable Marker is a brand new product, it is different from the Markers in the market, it's more environmental friendly. It's very convenient with variety of color choices and easy recognizable ends, these qualities are more appealing to market. We carefully designed and measured it's length and width, it accord with ergonomics and protect the nature at the same time. CHALLENGE: First, How to express the sustainability of this product through product itself is the biggest challenge in this design. Secondly, the ink transmission mode and water output of the whole pen. We have abandoned the traditional pen ink transmission. The sponge is used as the main ink guide, which can not only control the amount of water, but also can make the color of the painting uniform. In order to get the right amount of ink out, we designed the diameter of the Ink outlet to be 1 mm. NAME: LuXun Academy of Fine Arts PROFILE: The predecessor of Luxun Academy of Fine Arts (LAFA) was the Yanan-based Luxun Arts College (LAC) founded, in 1938, by the pioneering generation of Chinese Revolutionaries including Mao Zedong and Zhou Enlai. Mao personally handwrote the Motto of LAC: “Strenuousness, Seriousness, Diligence and Modesty”. The college was removed to Northeast China in 1945 and evolved to Luxun Academy of Fine Arts in 1958. |
