| DESIGN NAME: Creator C-200 PRIMARY FUNCTION: Magnetic Float Writing Desk INSPIRATION: This design can improve people's writing efficiency and improve their reading experience, which can effectively promote the learning and dissemination of cultural knowledge. In particular, it is especially helpful for young people in their reading and study, as it can not only improve efficiency but also entertain the students. The adding of magnetic levitation can adjust the boring learning process and improve learning efficiency. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This product is the magnetic version of a writing desk. Through magnetic levitation, it eases the discomfort of writing on a thick notebook. The magnetic float writing desk allows the user’s wrists to adapt to book thickness, thereby enhancing writing comfort. Meanwhile, small decorative items such as small table lamp, penholder and mini speaker box can also be placed on the floater to make reading and learning full of fun. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This device solves a problem in daily writing through magnetic levitation. The magnetic float writing desk provides an effective solution to this problem. It can adapt to different book thicknesses and keep us writing in a comfortable posture and angle. It is a unique design in the market that makes writing more comfortable by using the pad to raise the hand position in time to handle handwriting on a thick book. At the same time this design is also a lot of fun, as the maglev function allows many small gadgets to float up. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in August 2017 in Xiamen and finished in November 2017 in Xiamen. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The magnetic float writing desk has an ultra-thin base that contains a magnetic float generator. It is wrapped with silicone to ensure contact comfort. There are LED indicator lights on the switch at the upper right corner and the adjuster at the lower left corner to display the corresponding working state. This product uses USB charging to ensure an unobstructed charge and use. The ring-shaped metal floater reacts to the magnetic field in the base and levitates in the air. CHALLENGE: When writing on a thick notebook, we invariably come across a troublesome issue: the height gap between the notepad’s surface and the desktop makes the hand-notebook contact uncomfortable, seriously affecting the speed and quality of our writing.
