| DESIGN NAME: 2016 Present future film festival PRIMARY FUNCTION: Motion Poster INSPIRATION: We received an invitation from our client to make an animation design related to the poster design. The topic is about 'present future film festival 2016' . In today's world with developed technologies and the future, there should be full of energy and vitality so we selected the background music with the sound of the heartbeat in the production. The music together with 3D visual effects exhibited the philosophy and the spirit of the film festival. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: In this project, we adopted the 3D techniques to create an extra dimension for the graphic poster and bring a sense of space. The differences in distance, size and multiple layers of the design elements made stronger 3D visual effects without altering the original poster design. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: - PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in May 2016 in Macau and finished in May 2016 in Macau, and was exhibited in Macau in May 2016 FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: We applied the motion poster style in the animation, which is a trend in the recent years. The 3D visual effects made the graphic poster more vivid and lively. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 1466X2000 Software: Maya / After Effect TAGS: Animation, Motion, Poster, Graphic RESEARCH ABSTRACT: After receiving the work from the graphic designer, we divided the design elements of the poster into different components. Without altering the original design, we constantly tested and looked for the best distance, size and depth of components, the camera position, and overall aesthetics, etc. in order to figure out the best angle for the audience and present better 3D visual effects. CHALLENGE: without altering the original design, we transformed the graphic poster into a three-dimensional version. This enhanced its interest value and readability so that more audience could be effectively attracted.
