| DESIGN NAME: House Full of Calligraphy PRIMARY FUNCTION: Interior Design INSPIRATION: This work combines Oriental culture with western elegance. Chinese ink murals throughout the whole house. It reflects the elegant artistic conception and lively modern feeling. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: We come from a design agency Nanjing City in China, and get together because we love design. This house is an apartment of 226 square meters. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Black moulding on the wall of living room matches cream sofa and shows buddhist mood with deadwood, scroll and books on end table. TV bench and furniture beside shows western elegance. Walking in the house, you can feel eastern humanity and western elegance, modern and traditional. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Project is located at Agile Riverside International and decorated on 1st, March, 2016 and completed on 10th, November, 2016. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Chair rail (Field fabrication, based on block board and facing Australian pine board with paint), wallpaper SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The perfect visual of wiredrawing stainless steel embedded in chair rail and top surface of living room and dining room shows the high requirement of designer and construction team. Direct line is similar with the line drawing in traditional Chinese painting, relaxed but flexible. And we choose western delicacy dining table and chairs deliberately to neutralize and shows combining style between Chinese and western architecture. TAGS: Neo-Chinese Style, appropriate combining style between Chinese and western architecture, Chinese ink painting elements, abandon singleness, flexible RESEARCH ABSTRACT: In current diversified world, we realize more and more that singleness sometimes means depressing, boring and be satisfied with the status quo. We need challenge and break. Life is not only one mirror surface. It’s like a polygon prism and reflects multi-color-light. There shouldn’t be only one standard, one mode or one status of life. It should be diversified, abundant and with different connotation. So does our home. CHALLENGE: Design is bidirectional communication and express. An excellent designer should find out his interest, taste and character during communicating with home owner and work out suitable design.
