| DESIGN NAME: Fina PRIMARY FUNCTION: Table INSPIRATION: The concept was to create a timeless and elegant piece of furniture. All the details were carefully designed with a touch of modern design. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The "Fina" table is unique in its details: delicate legs and slim top bars using the same sheet of wood without losing its natural draw. The result is a timeless and an elegant piece of furniture. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The table can be used with the optional tray to help placing glasses or small objects. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in July 2016 in São Paulo, Brazil, and finished and presented in April 2017 at Milan Design Week. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Furniture Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The structure is made of laser cut steel, and the finishing with Pau Ferro wood sheets, a rare Brazilian wood from Vermeil private reserve, sourced from Atlantic Forest, Northeast of Brazil. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 1150mmx750mmx360mm TAGS: table, wood, metal, handmade, coffee table, laser cut, high-end, design RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The manufacturing process of this table required a good research on the best method of how to achieve quality, finishing and resistance. CHALLENGE: The big challenge was to produce the very slim bar of the table top with great resistance and elegance. After some research and prototypes, we decided to make with steel and cover it up manually with wood sheets. NAME: Roberta Rampazzo Design PROFILE: Roberta Rampazzo is a London based Brazilian designer with more than 15 years of career. She has been designing for her own brand as well as for high-end stores such as Vermeil, Allez, Decameron, Vidrotec, IPTI, Objekto (France) and others. Her work has been published in the most important Design magazines and websites in more than 25 countries like England, the United States, France, Germany, Italy, Denmark, and Japan. Roberta also participated from several international furniture fairs, exhibitions and is a winner of important Design Awards (A Design Award, German Design Award Nominee, Arts and Craft Design nominee). You can find her pieces in high-end shops in Brazil, France, England, Australia, Spain and other countries. Noted for their simple and strong lines, her pieces are designed with an attention to being unique and timeless. Roberta believes that good design must have form, function, beauty, and emotion. In creating a piece, the designer always seeks elements that speak to the user on an emotional level. Aware of her role as a professional, she uses certificated woods and others ecologically sustainable and good quality materials. |
