| DESIGN NAME: Hourglass Flap Bag PRIMARY FUNCTION: Handbag INSPIRATION: The shape of the bag is inspired by the brand logo elements - the hourglass and diamond shapes. When the triangles of the hourglass partially overlaps, the solid contour and geometry of the bag forms. Hourglass and diamond represent the endurance of time passing, reflecting perfect quality produced. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Medium sized handbags are versatile for day and night use. Handbags can be worn on the shoulders or elbows. The inner layer uniquely presents a chic diamond shape while the outer layer showcases the silhouette of the hourglass.There have an extra shoulder strap for wear, with a very difference design from traditional bag, it can easily adjust the length or take off the straps. One of the unique was the full handmade from cutting profiling details underneath the leather. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Hourglass Flap Bag is highly functional in its geometrical shape and yet, reflects a mysterious and elegant fashion style PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project development, including design conception took 2 months to complete, it will be produce in April 2017 in Singapore. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Italian leather is the main materials in the production of the bag , because Italy is well-known for good quality premium leather. The material is constructed carefully and treated with traditional techniques, that the shapes are both timely and timeless in elegance. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Length: 31 cm, Height: 21 cm, Width: 12.5 cm Handle height: 13.5cm TAGS: Handbag, leather, high quality, camouflage, elegant, stylish, luxurious RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The choice of leather and the use of raw materials goes through a strict quality selection. Each angle and size precision creates a strong profile of the bag. The color also brings out the extravagance and fashion sense of the bag. CHALLENGE: It was a challenge to create a representative bag for the brand using the brand logo as a main elements, the design had to let consumers to recognize easily relate the bag to its brand. The combination of two different shapes to go elegant and fashionable in a physical product is also a big challenge, it need time and a lot of test to figure out the correct shape.
