PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Table

INSPIRATION:
The design takes inspiration from China’s agricultural landscape, its stepping fields. The table’s form pays homage to elements of the fields. Viewing from above, the shape emulates a single grain of rice. From the side, the table legs are modelled on those of the water buffalos which plow the fields. The tabletop reflects the natural landscape through its smooth curves and the use of blue glass to represent a pool of water. The layers represent the terraces, and allow for items to be placed around the table ornamentally.

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The inspiration for this design is the stepping fields of China, which first developed during the Qin and Han Dynasties. Originally a product of the nature, the stepping fields are now a symbol of China’s agriculture heritage. With the pressures of modern urban life, there is a trend to yearn for the countryside and simpler times. The aim of the design therefore is to bring iconic elements of this culture into homes through the fusion of its three key design elements and through this placement, allow the owner to find relaxation and escape from the working day.

The project started in December 2016 and finished in Feburary 2017 in Zhuhai.

NAME:
kinpak brand design

PROFILE:
The studio is consist by student who study in the product design. We were founded in 2016, in ZhuHai. The teacher usually takes us to join in the different competition which is in order to enhance our experience. Also, we sometimes accept some work about designing the brand for company, but improving our ability is the primary task. So our studio is so young. The studio need more knowledge to enhance the strength. In the meanwhile, this young studio has unlimited potential for development in the future.
