RESEARCH ABSTRACT: I wanted to design a piece that would be very different yet functional and comfortable. After the initial sketches and drawings I say with the carpenters to see how the chairs would best be made, including the best joints and to make sure that even though the chair has spaces in between them at the back it had to be comfortable and sturdy.
CHALLENGE: The hardest part of this project was the production, ensuring that the pieces of the design come together perfectly.Making sure that the chair is comfortable at the back without compromising on strength of the chair.
