| DESIGN NAME: MERIDIAN JEWELRY PRIMARY FUNCTION: Store INSPIRATION: Natural Diamonds, the Earth’s Treasures. Through the contrast between “artificial” refined diamonds and the natural environment, strengthen the visual shock to catch customers' eyes and derive their motivations. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Combine the surrounding natural environment and image of diamond cutting to create a very special concept of the jewelry store, and adopt a circle as the basic concept to develop the internal decorations through the design. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The project try to adopt the material, black mirror, on the external walls of the store. According to the environmental conditions of the base, the violent sunshine will generate huge thermal expansion on the material. Therefore, the designer determines the appropriate ratio of material segmentation through a lot of experiments for the expansion joint. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Black mirror Laminate sheet Marble Camel leather SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 150 sqm TAGS: InteriorDesign, Interior, Design, space, Space-eight, Taiwan, TW, house, residential, residence, home, style RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The diamond-shaped black mirrors of jewelry store’s exterior wall and the embedded diamond display cases shines natural green image and skyline and presents wonderful brilliant and dazzling feelings. A VIP room is demarcated by the stone frames in this open area. The black jewelry display case highlights the natural luster of diamonds and gems while the jewelry shining with such brilliance of its cutting through the right display lighting temperature. A 3/4 circle display wall and a 3/4 circle jewelry display case forms a circulation between them, and showing main role of this space with the dome ceiling. The designer’s hand-made paper lamps and logo wall has made an enchanting impression of this entrance. CHALLENGE: The major products of the jewelry store are diamonds and colored stones. Suitable light color to set off the two kinds of products are different. For this purpose, the designer has tried a lot of settings to balance the lights in the environment and the jewelry showcases.
