PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential Show Flat
INSPIRATION: The project was realized at Yalikavak which is one of the Bodrum’s most exclusive summer location with it’s beautiful nature and impressive view of Tilkicik Bay. Some keywords explaining the life style of Tilkicik Bay may be, tranquil, simple yet ambitious and of course luxury. All of them gave us the inspiration of designing a summer house simple yet ambitious.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Throughout the project the client was clear about their vision and expectations. The brief was a reflection of the main theme as being simple yet ambitious. Duplex apartment consist of generous living spaces together with four bedrooms and large terraces. Use of very smooth colors combined with modern details at both exterior facade and interior design gives the user a luxurious space in a fresh nature.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The project stays on ground and has direct access through the large terrace and garden. Kitchen area is planned as open space, letting the user easily have physical connection with the garden. Glass balustrated steel and wooden staircase provides vertical circulation. Use of tall windows from floor to ceiling at bathroom areas lets more light inside. Upper level consists of private areas while lover ground levels host public areas.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in January 2016 and finished in July 2016 at Yalikavak, Bodrum.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: All fixed furnitures and doors are specially designed and produced. The materials used are all of high quality such as Flos and Foscarini lightings, Schuco branded Aluminum windows, Edimax and Rex ceramics and Berry Alloc parquets on floor. Kitchens are from Leicht together with best energy consumption products of Miele. Hansgrohe, Keuco and Duravit brands give life to the bathrooms with their sustainable solutions. Dedon, Gloster and Tribu brands are used as mobile furniture.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Gross area of 253 sqm together with terraces.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: At the initial stage of the project the local Bodrum houses was taken into consideration as life style.
CHALLENGE: The challenge of the project is about the site itself which is too steep through the sea having 40 percent slope. Dealing with such a sloped site means a lot of excavation and stone work.
