INSPIRATION: The dynamism of urban life, the asymmetrical movement of a great city and the encounters and misunderstandings that occur in it.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: With its elegant asymmetry, the Cadu bench is a piece of contemporary design that wants to innovate in both an internal and external environment. Their "mismatched" volumes refer to the frenetic pace of urban life as opposed to the inviting pleasure of sitting down to admire a beautiful landscape or even life.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: In an inner space, it transcends the use "sit" and can be evaluated as a decorative sculpture. In an outer space, it becomes an urban furniture of a unique nature, something that does not go unnoticed amid the frenetic pace of urban life.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in September 2016 in Teresina, Brazil and finished in Octuber 2016 in Teresina.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Firstly, the research carried out was in relation to the material to be used. After deciding that porcelain tile would be used, the next step would be how the shapes that make up the object would be fitted, the choice of mortar and special glues for the pieces to get joined.
CHALLENGE: The main obstacle found in the process was the way of sustaining these volumes. It was necessary to use internal uprights, made with the porcelain tile itself, and the fittings of these uprights should be located precisely at the points of greatest pressure.
